The "crippled summer" episode is kind of a Jimmy episode. It is about all the handicapped kids including Jimmy, Timmy and Nathan from this episode. It's definitely a very popular episode.

I would love for you to do "the Coon trilogy" for your next South Park trilogy. Well it's actually a 4 parter. Season 13 episode 2 is "the Coon" where they introduce the Coon character. Then in season 14 they do the whole Coon trilogy which is episodes 11, 12 and 13 of season 14. It would be awesome if you did all 4 in a row. Like you did the Black Friday trilogy. I promise you will love it. It's such an epic and hilarious journey.

Btw, Timmy is completely mentally capable, he just has physical disabilities that limit his speech, etc. Also, if you want to see Jimmy being awesome, he champions freedom of the press in later seasons as the editor of the Super School News. An absolute hero of the first amendment.

I saw an interview with a mother of a special child who said that her son LOVES Timmy and Jimmy because it's the only show where people like him are treated like everyone else, they have friends, they have problems beyond their disabilities. And often times, they overcome prejudice, like in this episode!! I think South Park is the most respectful show towards people with disabilities.

100% agreed. Plus, although they started off as adversaries in the cripple-fight episode, their friendship now is so wholesome and lovely. I especially love that Jimmy has his own affectionate nickname for Timmy, I get warm fuzzies whenever Jimmy calls him Tim-Tim =)

Christmas is a while yet, but you should watch "Woodland Critter Christmas" (and "ManBearPig" too though it's not a favorite if mine) ASAP so you can watch the Imaginationland trilogy without spoilers. I love the Imaginationland trilogy. It's very Butters-centric but also has a great Kyle vs. Cartman storyline running through it and some terrific dark humor.

Crippled Summer S14 e7 is a good Jimmy episode but he comes into his own when PC Principal shows up and he has a 3 episode arc over the end of S19. You may want to check out S4 e3 'Timmy 2000' for the first appearance of Timmy. You can see why he became a fan favorite so quickly.

Tropic Thunder actually is a good analogy, as showing the difference between a character being a jackass (which is funny) and the show or movie itself being guilty instead of a character within it. Sticklers accuse that thought process of being ethical legerdemain, but it's clearly reasonable. This episode is so hilarious.

In production since 2000, and the writer says the idea was pitched to Matt and Trey's company in 1999. The Special Olympics had to redesigb the testing criteria for the category for mentally handicapped athletes because of numerous scandals of athletes faking it to compete. The most infamous being Spain's basketball team, where only one member was actually mentally handicapped.
