I agree with you. I definitely prefer colourpop shadows because I recently received their valut collection which has their 5 mini palettes. It was my first dose of colour eyeshadows/palettes. The shadows are all matte and all of them are ridiculously powdery and patchy. I own many colourpop eyeshadows and morphe palettes and they work better than dose of colour and they cost way less. The 5 palettes were $110(USD) but because I live in Australia, I paid $200(AUD) including shipping. They are the very first makeup products that I really want to return but the returning shipping costs almost $50 so I just gave up and decided to keep them. The friendcation palette, I really love the shimmer shadows. They look stunning but I don't know if I should buy that palette just for that shimmer shadows.

I like how you had a sharp line to your matte colors as kind of a wing. I think not doing winged eyeliner let the glitters really stand out and also opens up your eyes. As I watch more and more of your tutorials and I practice, I go back and rewatch previous tutorials and understand them better. You are an incredibly talented teacher. You can tell I learned more about technique today-as I always do-because I now have new questions. :-D When you have some fall out (from any glitter shadow), how do you get it off your undereyes and cheeks? I've tried all sorts of brushes and most seem to just spread it around. The Real Techniques fan brush actually is stiff enough for some glitters. Sometimes Post-it notes work and sometimes not. Do you ever use a glitter primer? I have the NYX Glitter Primer which works well but moves the underlying matte shadow around. I don't always want to do a cut crease, but I still want the glitter to stick. What could I do to make it work better? Why did you use the gel eyeliner rather than a matte black shadow in look two? Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I am having so much fun with eyeshadows because of you. Holiday season always starts earlier and earlier, but it's an excuse to wear more and more glitter!

to prevent fall out - i use a fan brush to dust it off, but if i know the eyeshadows im working with has fall out ill do my eyes first. i use the colourpop fan brush! glitter primer - i do have the nyx one, but i always forget to use it so i cant say much right now still need to play around with it! if you wanna go a cut crease i think the concealer is a good enough base for it. gel eyeliner - the gel is much darker and black than any black eyeshadow i have ! hope that helps!

I was super excited for this palette but I’ve read a bunch of reviews saying the shimmer shades burned/irritated their eyes especially the shade just a kiss. And it makes me nervous to purchase it online because it would be such a hassle to return. Have you experienced anything like that?
