Does it works for cursive fonts?

Technically yes, but it would require a lot of work with kerning pairs and ligature settings, the latter of which I don't really have any experience with

Is it possible to add glyph like hearts, ellipsis etc to a existing font file?
@dogrunes3 жыл бұрын
It's a little tricky, but not impossible (probably): You'd need to make the glyph in your handwritten font (or any other font) and then copy/paste it in fontforge to the other font.

I'm trying and trying, but kerning is not working, the font looks fine in FontForge, but in Paint and other apps the kerning is just ignored somehow :c I don't know what's wrong. Also I'm constantly getting pop up messege about incomplete coordinates and I don't know what to do with this. It's my first time making fonts and I'm clueless how to make it work. Please help.

i know it's been a year since this comment, but i would like to give some of my methods. i personally use Glyphr Studio because it gives me full control on kernings and other stuff, it easily gives you a visual control. the interface is easy to understand. please give it a try! i'm not saying FontForge is not good on what it's doing, but i just found that it might help you in that case.

@@aurisbunni Thank you very much for your answer! I'll give it a try. I've dropped the idea of making a font after it didn't turn out as I intended, but maybe Glyphr Studio will be better :)
