unfortunately I think this webtoon style is the only style she knows how to draw, and while its great for webtoon creators that need a boost of inspo it only goes so far in the "art world", ive had art teachers show me how I could do it better with my work but they didnt completely change the painting or restyle it, it was always minor adjustments that improved upon what existed in the same style/tone of the original

no, no I don't regret putting Kooleen in as one of my role models in my schoolworks. I literally learned more here than anywhere else in my life

Kooleen I just wanted to say thank you so much. I was losing my passion to draw because my art just wasn’t coming out good at all. It was art and it was ok, but things like the face just looked off and the way I was coloring/rendering just didn’t seem right. I have a bunch of unfinished drawings in a folder on procreate because I’ll start the drawing and then never finish it because it ends up looking weird and I had NO CLUE how to fix it. This led to actual breakdowns, crying and just absolutely bashing on my own art. I am a fairly young artist and it was really damaging to my mental health to see people younger than me do way better at art than me. Not that it’s a competition!!! It was just my own problem, my art never felt good enough. Using your tips, my art has improved DRASTICALLY and I am able to create really pretty people now. Thank you so much for giving art it’s sparkle back to me😭

For people who wanna look up references for the V on the neck, the muscles you wanna google are the "sternocleidomastoid muscle". It is the muscles that connect the collarbone/sternum area (sternocleido-) to the mastoid process that is just behind the ear (-mastoid). See how it looks at various head tilts. It will make more sense when you know the purpose of the V :) Hope that helps
