Yes, you did do a great job of raising them and gave them a good life. Plus giving your boys the experience of how to honor the animals God created for us. God Bless you all. (I have to admit, I cried, but that's pretty ok for an 82 yr old lady - smile)

My great aunt would be proud to see a young man like yourself getting started. She bred, and raised crossbreed steers outside of Nashville Tennessee. Her bull was a bottle raised longhorn crossbred. He was soooooo very gentle. We could ride on his back from the gate by the road, to the fence around the house. I miss those days.

We had a heifer named Carrot (orange and white) that would let Daddy put me on her back and I could sit there. She was as tame as they come.🙂

They are so well raised. They would follow you anywhere. This part of farming is sad, but rewarding. Just knowing that you gave them the best life you could, and knowing that the food produced is of such great quality makes you feel so secure fir the health if your family. Great job Chad, Adler, Chase and Grampa!! 🥰

Even though I don't think I could do it myself..I do admire and respect Chad for raising his own food and providing for his family. With the amount of care that was given to the Beefy Boys, I'm sure they will be delicious!! (Not meant in a mean way, so don't come at me people!!) Not gonna lie..I'm going to miss #42 and #44..they will be fondly remembered!!💕iij

Growing up on a cattle ranch in Oklahoma, I felt sad to say goodbye to the Beefy Boys. We greatly enjoyed raising our beef but it’s still hard to say goodbye until you get a big ribeye on your plate. Hey, just a thought. We used to have cookouts after we worked them through the shoots. We had grates from the old floor furnaces (I’m dating myself!) with rebar sticks welded to the four corners making legs. Build a big old fire, drop a ‘grill’ over the fire and cook steaks. Great memories.

That was awesome loading. I don't know how all processing goes. But when I took my hog in, if it's weighing in at 150 lbs. Half back in meat. They told me the bones etc weigh about half. Not sure it was true..being female sort. But I was happy and it was the best pork ever. Smoky is a great girl to have around ! Not too risky. Enjoy yourself a bit. Sorry because I'll miss them & happy that you can fill your freezer & feed your boys.
