Chad, I couldn't agree more. If you're having a difference of opinion with your significant other, don't hide it from your children. Let them see you work it out. That's how they learn to deal with conflict and how to compromise/negotiate. I'm the product of parents who never disagreed in front of me. In my subsequent relationships, whenever an argument occurred, I ended the relationship. I thought that, if the relationship was right, we shouldn't have conflict. I heard my parents argue for the first time when I was 25. I was shocked and asked if they were getting divorced. Of course not. They just celebrated their 73rd anniversary. I still have issues with conflict and conflict resolution. But my son knows that people who love one another can work through their differences.
