1:02:00 the future of 'history of india Was my one of my fav segments from the whole podcast. Jay said "geneticists" would help alot in verifying the migrations and also telling new stories of migrations. I jyst want to make an addition (and also want to know if what I'm saying is right), that: With the decipherment of the millions of untranslated sanskrit (and probably even in many more languages) texts, we would inevitably stumble upon new avenues of our written history. And that may disrupt the whole present of indian history.

Hi Jay Vardhan bhai, this was amazing to listen to, Vaad wali conversation se bhi zada achha laga, asaan shabdon mein (hindi) mein tha, aur ek birdseye view mil gaya reasoning ke sath. But i have just one question Here @53:50 you say that nothing was industrialised.. I am not against it, but from what I've heard is that we used to produce textile, steel, and spices at a somewhat industrial level then. Morover, the unstichhed silk garments greeks wore, alot of them came from the then indian merchants. (Probably)Thereby, telling the greeks that we are territory worth looting. So, my question is that, can we say that what i know is true, or is it true for a later time period, and how conclusive is the evidence which suggests that. I ask the conclusiveness of the evidence, because i want to know if a future discovery can change our view. Thanks bhai itta read karna pada, pr bhai literally you are the best historian in india right now. Please keep doing what you are doing 🙂.

Well planned cities of IVC then nomadic life of vedic period ? It is hard to believe.
@greaterbharat4175
@greaterbharat4175 22 күн бұрын
Vedic period is not nomadic ,Vedas mentioned nomadic tribes as "vratya" ( those who have no permanent settlement) and they distant themselves from them Only for education Aryans used to go to hut of rishis only Rish live in jungle , and spiritual beings who lived in jungle wrote "aranyak"scriptures While shurti Vedas is completely written down in river valley settlement ( probably Neolithic indus period)
@greaterbharat4175
@greaterbharat4175 22 күн бұрын
Vratya were Aryans tribe but had no Aryan customs, later in time vratya became term for insult in Sankrit language , Aryans ( of customs ) who used forget about their duty they were insulted with term vratya ( it is actually term for an outcaste in classical Sankrit language) So how come Vedic owner were Nomadic? When they hated nomadic people itself? Why they glorified sapt Sindhu? Sapt Sindhu/ Nadi suktam is one of core evidence they were settled people ( river valley people aka settled people) all bronze age civilization belongs to river valley

@RnR1001
@RnR1001 Жыл бұрын
Because the things that are in the text may not be suited for that time period. Example has been given in this discussion that there is the mention of Greeks and huns. Indians would have known about Greeks only after 500 BCE, same thing with Huns, they would have only have known about Huns after 500 CE.
@jashseta7927
@jashseta7927 Жыл бұрын
Isn't there a possibility that we might be knowing about Greeks and Huns at the time when the original text was written? Similarly, the mentioned about a paragraph from Mahabharat where Bhishma is explaining to Yudhishthir, they mention that it describes reality of Mauryan Empire so it must have been added at that time... What if this dialogue in Mahabharat is present from the beginning and if at all it describes reality of Mauryan Empire, the Mauryans must have taken inspiration from this text and set up their kingdom inspired by this dialogue. Please correct if I am thinking in wrong direction

but then how is then the original author credited?.. if ved vyasa wrote mahabharat , how can someone add something to it? and i am sure ved vyasa wasnt alive to keep writing 10th or 11th editions of the mahabharat..... was it crowd sourced? was ved vyasa like a group of authors whose pen name was ved vyasa.. was it like a position.... that the successors could edit the religious text? for example : i cant add 3 chapters to game of thrones ... and call it layered novel/text , its not my text to edit... Plus i dont think Indian ancient history can be carbon dated to the exact age .....especially the satya yug , treta and dwapar because the indian knowledge system followed oral tradition.... transference was oral in nature by way of recitation, so even if our historical texts are carbon dated.... it would only give us a recent date because only later on it was brought to print.... so if you apply western standards to our history it wont fit , because its not one size fits all

@@ИСТИАКМОРШЕДi repeat Vedic hymns not belong to same timeline For example we see mentioned of vala and Indra war ( even as stories itself) Was is not possible in 1500bce This myth closer to proto indo European culture probably before 3000bce Vala is Slavic god ( veles ) ,Indra ( BMAC west indus god , central asian+ west Indus god) It is one of mentioned of Aryans and danava (Danube race ,vinca race / eastern European race ) warfare Vedas given credit of winning against Danava ( Danube race ) to Indra and other devtas ( including Maruts,who were race of danava who waged war their own brother/ Maruts were steppe of ukraine/Russia)

@@ИСТИАКМОРШЕДbefore even vala ( slavic veles ) it was vritra mentioned ( first warlord of danava) who actually came to conquer Aryan land ( central asia and indus region) Iranian avesta mentioned Aryans defencing against danus race ( turya danus, eastern Caspian sea to south of Russia and major north steppe central asia is turya region , turya actually loan word from Finnish word tunturi or turiya which was used for steppe region ) Aryans fought with Danava race ( both Iranian avesta and Vedas mentioned this war ) It was only possible before 1500bce before 2000bce ( before indo Iranian split into iranic and Vedic Aryan)

@@greaterbharat4175 well you can see war between gods through out all the pantheistic culture Greek Norse Roman Egyptian Cannanite Sumerian every culture it is not new or unique. You will also find inscriptions about them to date. However your theory doesn't answer my quench for thirst. What you just claimed is just ridiculous. The oldest written book dates back some 4000BCE. You claimed vedas originated & transmitted orally when no one man today can memorize the vedas. Without any written document maintaining the integrity of such voluminous work for thousands of years is impossible it's all just legends. However you also claimed the brahmin rishis had manuscripts of vedas in some other forms of writings but you didn't show us evidence for your claim which is a ❓‼️ I am asking for 3000BCE compilation manuscript.

What sanakrit illiterate people fail to understand is that Language of the Mahabharata is classical sanskrit and NOT vedic sanskrit. Classical sanskrit is a language regulated by the ashtadhyayi, Authored by the father of linguistics, the Sanskrit philologist and scholar, the great Panini who was contemporaneous to alexander. Mahabharata therefore cannot be older than 2300 years AT BEST. A text can't predate its LANGUAGE. Sanskrit sikhi hoti to ye sab pata hota
