Imo AIM is being unfair with mr.jaishankar who probably was in the toughest position post ukrain crisis balancing Usa and Russia ,yet he handled that pretty well...not sure which other indian foreign minister would have balanced India's neutral position so well despite being under immense pressure...
@marathiManus10 Жыл бұрын
AIM struggles with this ultrarealism. He keeps repeating we r third rate as a community - and his line of thought is "to catapult out of this, everything in India gotto go P.E.R.F.E.C.T". Never gonna happen, and that's good. I hv been to EU and nothing is perfect their either. Infact, imagine the resilience with which indic middle class is holding India together - infact emigrant Indians are doing the same in their respective countries. We don't hv to best up teachers teaching bwoke ideas like momos do. Just be patient, and keep your own home together with strong indic ideas. Even an entire world can't affect a strong molecular family.

Abhijit is completely wrong about Stalin. Tsarist Russia was already an industrial powerhouse at the time of the Revolution. In fact the economic inequalities brought about by rapid industralization is what led to the popularity of the Bolsheviks. When they eventually took power they had no idea how to run an economy and actively destroyed Russian industrial base through a combination of incompetence and malfeasance. What Stalin did was mostly undo Lenin’s catastrophic mistakes by a horrific ‘reindustrialization’ but that too a very halfhearted and shabby one that killed tens of millions of people in the process.
@simple-eastner2 жыл бұрын
Yes it was Industrialized, it was at a Refinery Storehouse were StaIin used to work, he first started his activism and lead strikes after being refused a bonus, after the workers saved the place putting down a huge fire. Mr Iyer says things which suit his agenda & audience like facebook or media is not promoting right wing, he never talks abt govt ads running these news channels

26:57 This has not been my experience. Everytime I boot up youtube from a new/rarely used account, the political channels and faces I see on top are Dhruv Rathee, AAP's Aashutosh, Lallantop, BBC News Hindi etc., not a single "right wing" creator. Even after instructing youtube to not recommend certain left wing channels, they still end up in the recommendations again. My experience has been that its the opposite, that left wing sources get promoted on youtube for neutral users/accounts. Sure there are videos regarding hinduism, mostly devotional and stuff, which is ofcourse pretty normal for all SM in India and has been for a long time, as most people in Indian households look up for that type of stuff. Other than that its bollywood songs or cooking recipes etc., all part of the norm.
@vasanthpragash854 Жыл бұрын
I actually think KZbin is promoting engagement, not necessarily what you want to see but more like what gets you to click on the video. You see these things likely because you could disagree with them, open them and dislike them, or comment. This gives them more engagement and ad revenue. A left winger is also likely to be overloaded with right wing content. If India is leaning to "the right" KZbin will be leaning more to the left as people will more likely open the video to disagree. This is my opinion.
@Alduizard Жыл бұрын
@@vasanthpragash854 Its actually the polar opposite of this, as far as I know. You will get recommended the type of views and stuff that you agree with or like. This is how social media creates a positive loop for the users, but also end up making echo chambers which we are very familiar with. Content with opposing views/stuff that you dislike, is likely to turn the user off from the platform itself, if it happens too much. The type of audience you mentioned who wanna engage with opposing views/stuff they dislike, with some frequency, is likely a very small minority.
@Alduizard Жыл бұрын
@@vasanthpragash854 Moreover, my comment was referring to fresh accounts. Where youtube couldn't possibly know my political leaning. And opposing recommendations based general political trends/opinions of a country's userbase, seems far fetched and very much unlikely. Unless ofcourse, the rationale is ulterior, rather than just simple engagement maximization.
