Dot cap is less of an issue than most might think, because most mobs will reduce the damage they take in a way or another. During Affliction, I ran a scourge arrow PF that was dotcapped on normal content, and had about 20M uber dps. But I didn't do uber, I ran maps with the keystone that made mobs take 50% less damage. Even like that, of course, I hit dot cap and Stygian spire died way too quickly. So I added layers of delirium on my maps to give the monsters a chance. The damage were high enough that I was able to complete Uber Cortex with the "70% chance to avoid poison" (or is it 90% chance ?) several times. Nonetheless, reaching dot cap on a poison build is easy. Reaching dot cap on RF is a whole other business.

12:45 The previous GigaRF version does scale higher on STD, but I'm so annoyed with randomly dying to flask siphon mobs that I'm working on a mana version. Despite only getting half the mana per 10 str or int(1500 flat with 3000 str versus 3000 flat with 3000 int), the strength version simply has better available legacy items(crafted rares too) that allows it to scale damage and ES higher. The numbers I'm looking at right now with min maxed investment is about 70k ES, 26k mana, 28M regular RF DPS with 340% inc AOE with the AOE mace/heirophant passive. It's lower eHP than GigaRF, but it opens up a flask slot and no dealing with coruscating elixir.

It's always good to be over dot cap by quite a bit as map mods can heavily reduce damage. Even 100 mill Rf dps might not result on dot cap after map mods

I believe the drop rate was shadow nerfed in Afflction and it felt fine, because of blue wisps that actually dropped valdos boxes. Now there's no wisps, so boxes are SIGNIFICANTLY scarces

If you lose ES and max res from dual wield, I feel like it doesn’t really lower the budget for minimum viable. It increases your mana a lot too, which further exacerbates the issue with recovery.

The main issue youll run into is that a perfect adorned is 4-500 div alone. but you can use something around a 133 for under 100d and you will do just fine. Basically you can do the budget version with some of the best upgrades towards this version and save up.

@@adamsanders6935 150 is the the last breakpoint, for all of the jewels. 10, 15, 5 matters a lot when you have jewels that are +15 int + 10% mana and 5% implicits (this is the reason 9% +16 jewels are so cheap, they dont scale as well with your 150 ado and vice versa)

Didnt they rework melee movement abilities a long time ago to no longer care about base attack speed? Only the %inc attack speed mattered for your weapon. Because it made slow weapons just feel real bad. Or am i misremembering that

The base damage is too low on death's oath (758 chaos dot and bad support gems). It's possible to get a level 35 decay Forbidden Shako (3393 chaos dot) and add it to something like Frost Blink of Wintry Blast, to get a total of 4151 chaos dot, but it's still a bit of a meme skill. RF of Arcane Devotion gets 24343 fire dot in comparison in Lance's build.

Why Arcane surge gem when the Ascendancy already gives arcane surge?

The ascendancy only provides the global buffs from arcane surge e.g. cast speed and mana regen % and only at level 1 gem values. More importantly, the support gem has the mod "Supported skills deal 25% more spell damage" and 20% quality adds "Supported skills deal 10% increased spell damage." Note the wording "supported skills" meaning those two stats are only for spells directly supported by the gem, not given from the ascendancy node. 25% more and 10% increased spell damage is like half of RF's damage. The next best support gem is maybe Efficacy, which pales in comparison to AS. The 20% more spell damage provided by the ascendancy is separate from the mods mentioned above and stacks multiplicatively with them.

@@dervakommtvonhinten517 I think you mean in his scorching ray setup linked with infused channelling and its to activate AS without needing to hit an enemy. The ascendancy gives the buff only on hit while the support will give it after spending over the threshold of mana - you’ll notice the gem in his SR setup is lvl 1 so tapping SR for 0.6s is enough to proc infusion and AS. Not strictly necessary, but since this version is meant to clear maps, you want those buffs on RF before getting in range to use scorching ray on an enemy, i.e. tap SR to proc infusion and AS then leap slam or flame dash ahead.

Uh, those aren't even the expensive parts of this build. He has a 150% adorned and three 3-passive voices which are 2+ mirrors for just those 4 jewels. All of his crafted jewels are also worth 100+ div each, whether you buy the +5 int synth base (50+ div each) or make one yourself with vivid vultures. Crafting the 16/10 then costs 5-20 div depending on how patient you feel like being and luck, then probably 30-50 div worth of craicic chimerals for beast-locking to hit useful corrupted implicits on the gilded fossil mod. He has 17 of these jewels, so conservatively 1500-2000 divs worth. And even his current setup isn't even close to finished scaling. The three 3-passive voices and 2 large clusters can all be upgraded to 1-passive voices to gain 2 more jewel sockets and 5 passive points, at 2-2.5 mirrors per 1-passive voices. In theory, he could upgrade all of his crafted jewels to quad implicit jewels (triple synth base + corrupt implicit on gilded mod). I have no idea the cost of chimerals and vultures needed to craft the synth implicits, probably several hundred divs. This build easily has 30+ mirrors before maxing out.
