Is the ult animation visible to enemies while the hawk invinsible? If so, its easy to anticipate their gank/ambush with the right disables.

Rence Remus Just tested it. The ultimate animation is not visible to enemies while the hawk is invisible. Also you can teleport to lycan lvl 4 wolves who are invis. It doesn't show on them either.

It is called the Pit Lord, it has a very similar animation, a similar model, a two handed weapon, similar voice clips, and one copy and paste ability from the Pit Lord of World of Warcraft.

not channeling i guess, but cancellable, and if the targeted unit dies, the ability goes off to cooldown I havent played yet also, easier to think it as mass tp scroll

u can also use it to escape even stunned, u can still tp to your base.

The only way to cancel his ult is with Invoker's Tornado/Eul. Or killing him, of course. Just cast it when he is about to tp and everyone in the air will not be teleported. Same with Eul and probably with Shadow Demon's Disruption and OD's Imprisonment. Note: if you throw ONLY pit lord on the air, everyone but him will be teleported.

The pit is really underwhelming compared to what it was like in the original, while the ult is basically a free group BoT, which is really good.

Nonono,you didnt quite get it.Shittiest nuke in the game,easy to avoid,you can literally stand in it and dont give a crap.2 second ROOT that again,is some of the worst disables(even roots) and a passive aura that affects BASE damage.Get Daedalus and you got full damage.Also hes getting max 80-100 damage from creeps,and he builds like a support,also slow as fuck,wont do shit in fights and in a 1v1 hes always going to lose vs a real carry

so first you talk about how the nuke is easy to avoid and then you tell us you can stand in it and dont give a acrap? (which is bs, at max level it will burn ~15% of your hp at any point in the game) it also has great synergy with the ensnare of the pit of malefice, which can also be used as a zoning tool (in comparison to "roots" and other ensnares). even with a daedalus you would lack a lot of damage since the majority of your damage will still be base damage (unless you are playing kunkka or ember). Also like you said, you would ahve to itemize around it. Daedalus and other raw damage items arent great on a lot of heroes. The hero is not supposed to manfight a "real" carry 1v1, he just needs to be alive and in the middle of a fight to be useful. Think of him as an elder titan or a brewmaster, not a Juggernaut.

They are mechanically different; one disarms, the other doesn't. He never mentioned in the video that Pit of Malice does not disarm the target. (There are also a few other differences in WC3 that didn't carry over to Dota 2, but that one is the most important.)
