Most top plays are by supports actually. Carries have to farm and autoattack (not everytime, but that's the general gist of it). It's the supports that make do with their skills and their support items like forcestaff that bring out plays like these, because in dota supports have their amazing early-mid game potential. It is not surprising at all that number 1 is a support play.

Enough of fighting between Dota2 & LoL. Both are good games. However, I used to be a LoL player but i play only Dota2 now. Stopped playing LoL for just 2 simple reasons: 1. LoL does not allow me to freely choose any hero i want. Either pay to access more champions or grind out games to have enough IP to buy all champs, so think how many games you need to grind. Dota2 does not charge me to play heroes, so im happy spending cash on cosmetics. I have spent shit loads of cash on cosmetics and have sets for almost all heroes but i cant afford to pay for champs+AD,AP,tank runes+skins for all champs in LoL, just too much pay to win. 2. Inline with the above point, ive never comes across too many games in dota where people fight for mid/top. In LoL, almost every game i played, i had to pick support because there were already 2 guys fighting for mid, 2 guys fighting for top. one of them gave up the fight n insta locks ADC and the other also gives up the fight and insta locks jungle. So a patient guy like me always is forced to play support. Unfortunately i had bought only one support hero, ended up playing that hero for the entire day. I didnt encounter these 2 BIG let downs in dota 2. So i stuck to playing dota 2.

Strongly disagree with your second point. In dota I see troll picks all the time, people fighting over mid in ranked 4k MMR (not the best MMR, but decent). In ranked LoL games, I almost never had this problem (in normal games ofc we have this problem).

Pablo Blo Fighting for lanes happens in Dota 2. But he is making a deeper point which is that all heroes in LOL are not available. I had the exact same problem when I played LOL. In Dota, you might have to pick support but you can choose from a huge pool of semi support type heroes or at least have the chance to rotate between the many supports. And there are no runes or masteries out of the game that will affect you in game. No matter what your level is, you won't have any advantage over someone else other than your skills. And I think its much more balanced than LOL too.

Yeah, just like a sport, you need to know the rules. Games also tend to have crazier rules than real sports, because it's easier to implement them than in the real world. I'm not sure how big e-sports and MOBA games will get, but the chart is up and to the right so far.

For those who are complaining about No. 8 it's not just the Pudge hook in that clip. It's the fact that Pudge Hooked Warlock, giving Warlock the time to Ult and then Rubick stealing Black Hole and using it on the enemy team.

How to get a be in top plays guide Get good early farm and have A Blink Dagger, Force staff and Ghost Scepter before any of the enemy carries are too strong. Then get yourself nice and low and wait for a greedy enemy(s) to spot you. Then use all your defensive items to humiliate them for as long as you can remembering to get some damage in when you see an opportunity so they do die eventually. Bonus points will be awarded if you can wait until the last mili-second to use your defensive items to make it look like your using it in a very tense and reactionary way, however doing this will mean that they will take an extra half a second to come off cool down again or you can use force staff to save your team mate or something. Then submit and hope that your clip gets viewed when a volunteer who is both awake and giving a shit at the time. If you follow these steps and get lucky you can then brag to all your friends about how awesome you are and how everyone is going to know it now!

Well, you should get used to the map and overall mechanics of the game. Towers for example. Play a plenty bot matches with one hero, get used with it and then try something new. Also, I consider you to read Purge's guide "Welcome to Dota, You Suck"
