Nothing is the same anymore. Dota changed a lot. My friends, who used to play dota1 with me, changed also a lot. They are not the same. I also feel like I changed through all these years. Nothing is the same. All I am asking for is a timetravel machine, to travel back in 2009 with my friends and play one last game as a team. Enjoy it like we used to. Damn. Nostalgia level is too damn high. Dota1 is connected to my childhood memories. I know, there are still dota1 players and platforms to play. But as I said,nothing is the same anymore. Dota1 used to be the only thing my friends and I had true passion for. My friends don't play dota anymore. P. S. I am pretty sure that I am not the only one who feels like that

Secret bosses around the map, 27-spells Invoker, able to destroy fountains and holes where you could throw people and they couldn't -unstuck, old heroes that were so fucking different from what they are now. Well i don't play dota for items... i mean i played 8 years of dota 1 without getting anything except the pleasure of playing, that will not change now.. yes it is shit, but if u come to think of it you can play dota for free, on their servers, i think its something that you should be glad about, the items were like a bonus.. u know like when u score with the hot chick and at the end of it she lets u put it up her ass, if she would have not done it you would still be satisfied... however valve let u put it up their ass for a long time, and now when they don't want to anymore u can't be satisfied only with their pussy? LinkRnr1 it felt weird in the begin and first 30 levels were kinda boring. but i was sick of not being able to play dota in garena and i didnt want to play a game in which people called each other noob for rushing radiance to strygwyr. i feel like dota2 combined the bad parts of dota and lol to create a superbad game. i also liked the passion in the game but its completely gone imo. at least in lol itembuilding is alittle more flexible for most lanes

The last clip where sand king did a burrowstrike with extra distance got me so hyped when this video was released. Then I was inspired to test the whole dota1 map to figure out every possible location to do the similar trick. And soon I started to fool my opponents with this technic. So much honor to learn cool stuff from hexor's video. It's also quite sad that we cannot have this kind of buggy but fun mechanics in dota2 :(

Oh my God... Seeing this now in 2017 brings back so much memories I can't even believe I am getting so emotional over a game... :D I can recall clear as day how I used to get hyped over these videos, then go to Garena/RGC/Darer or whatever the platform I decided to play on and bash some heads... But even earlier back in 2006 - Dota 6.36 - 11yo kid going to the internet caffee trying to expore the depths of DotA. It really is the best game ever created for me! There is just no other game that has such an infinite amount of variety in itself.

I played DotA for 5 years before I got the DotA 2 Beta. My DotA years were probably the best gaming years of my life but that doesn't make DotA 2 any worse, and DotA definitely isn't better than 2. At the time DotA was an entirely new world for me and that's why I loved it so much, I loved playing a game that many look down on and loved playing with such a dedicated community. All that doesn't make DotA 1 a better game, it just makes it more personal for me, and likely the same thing for you.
