I don't really watch games anymore nor do I play dota, but for some reasons I can't stop watching Grubby. Actually for many reasons, one of the most genuine nicest person out there and it's fun to see him improve at an above normal pace :)

Also I've been reading chat and they don't explain what they mean by farming speed very well. Early on I think you play great, contesting last hits but once wr and ck left the lane you need to accelerate your farm, dont just last hit but farm the wave fast, farm the two camps at once then farm next wave, this is why you are "behind" on dota+, but this will take your position one to the next level at this mmr bracket, being 1+ items ahead by 15 mins

A lot of people commented about the shove the wave then go to camps cycle so heres another info for you grubby. The play you made to keep the lane back is used mainly in the laning stage and whenever your opposing core leaves you can start doing the shove style. Another occasion that you may just shove is when you are afraid of dying when trying to lane against toxic laners (ex: viper). Theres a niche case where you keep the lane back and thats when the opposing core is bad at taking jungle creeps (ex: rikki, faceless void before Mask of madness) and you think that denying their farm is more important than accelerating your own farm. Default to shoving creeps into tower and jungling though, as that is the most efficient way to accelerate your farm with most core heroes! Hope this helps, cheers!

When playing Medusa, you should keep an eye on the number of bounces of mystic snake. As much as possible, make the last bounce to the hero or range creeps since the last bounce has the highest damage

I was expecting something worse than Kunkka, when the vid was delayed to come out after Meep, and with that intro to boot. For your first Dusa, I'd say q was not the main culprit, the fact that you didn't spam snake was what really slowed your farm.

Hey Grubby I just saw your calibration video and I could tell that you were a bit frustrated about your herald 5 initial calibration. I just want to say that don't get too upset because first time calibration usually isn't all that accurate anyways. Besides, I think all the people in chat calling you god gamer and everything probably built up your expectation quite a bit. But regardless, you still are one of the best new Dota players out there and I have no doubt that with your PMA you'll climb up very fast. Good luck

you should shove down the lane when the tower is still there. The creeps will be pushed towards enemy tower, then you go take jungle camps nearby. When the enemy creeps start coming to the lane you go again shove it again so you can then take the jungle camp. So you will get the lane creeps and jungle creeps. It's not always good to push tower too early

To be fair you we're just following what is being recommend by the guide for the skills, and I don't why it recommends E, maybe because you are fighting a lot. But a point in E or two is enough, then you max Q after W, then you switch between lanes and neutrals, remember to nuke them every time.

Using threads is crucial on switching it on every skill cast and every gameplay. Upkeep dont apply on dota but milliseconds does. Every action or animation of every hero needs to be memorized and the milliseconds needed to cast a spell(or to cancel to act like you casted it). Also, memorization of every enemy skill cooldown is a must on pro scene(every patch included) to know when to and when not. Wc3 might require something but using chen on dota2 to stack, to support, to spam on lane, to do wards, map awareness and to micro would take a lot.

you were low on cs because you should just shove the lane with Q and W, then go clear jungle with Q and W. Also, after you max W, and have like 2 or 3 points in Q, you should lean towards farming in the safe triangle (optmized farming after enemy off tower has fallen). after you have manta, just clear the wave with Q and W, then send illusions to push the lane while you are clearing jungle. You should get skadi by 25 min on the toughest of games and then you assemble your team to take buildings and push high ground.

In a high level MMR game your supports are also stacking jungle and ancients for you, so split shot gets much better. In this game the difference is really not that big

I always do dragon lance into yasha. Then depends on the game choose the next item Keep on dying an need an escape? Do hurricane pike into skadi Team lack stuns and cant find kills? Do aghs into skadi. Everyone is dependable and we can focus on farming? Maelstrom into manta They need us to be the damage dealer with lots of team fights? Manta into skadi Raid boss dusa is literally dependable on every situation

Q is needed if you are going to spend a lot of time farming . Without good items Q is useless in TFs

Improving a lot since last I checked the stream. Keep going dude. A little tip for the midgame regardless of what you are playing, being on the map with 0 mana and 20%hp is risky and bad. Go base, regen and tp/walk to resume whatever you are doing. Anything else is a massive waste of game time and incredibly risky. I'm reffering to 25:30 ish. No idea why you are there farming neutrals( with no splitshot lmfao) . Game time is important, use it wisely!

Always max w in lane pos 1 or 2 best. Prep range creep w level 1-3 for one shot snake kill when next to enemy hero. Get all mana back max dmg too. Level 4 w (level 7 dusa) spam on first creep melle creep of wave. Range die hit enemy go home push to tower win lane go jungke rinse repeat ggeznore duh

If you're playing Medusa skipping SplitShot you're just playing greedy in a different way and it can work if you go aghs and skady (then Buriza), just try to fit boots of travel and keep splitpushing, it absolutely can work, because she's so tanky and difficult to gank, but you will apply pressure on the map since you won't be junggling much, but you will be under constant pressure too, it requires extreme map awareness. All you have to do is go travels, keep pressuring towers by yourself and when you get ganked you press R and you escape to another lane and push immediately. Travels lowers the tp cooldown just enough so you are able to do this. The reason you go aghs right then is if your team is under pressure and you need to help them you're equipped not to kill but to defend, don't forget your shard.

I would always level Q before getting maxed out E. The guide seems crap. Your team dominated the game. Against any good enemy you would have died staying in lane with low hp and without mana. As well you spam your mana far too much with level 1 skill. In WC3 you would wait as well to reach lvl2 wolves and not spam your lvl1 wolves and waste mana potion for it.
