I also missed that Sven Helm of Dominator lifesteal build back in the days too. When the ancient creeps are still near the mid tower at radiant. You rush helm then stack neuts by yourself when you farm that youll have fast SnY basically outfarming enemy carry, got lots of mmr with that strat. 🤣

yea after that HoD change I stopped playing Sven. I had like 70+% WR at that time just stacking ancients and suddenly getting so much farm doing the stacks. But then they nerfed neutral creep gold and exp at some point as well and removed the lifesteal from domi :(

Bulba was indeed the march of the machine pioneer on Tinker, I remember when it happened. Back then it was standard to play tinker as a "ganker", maxing rocket and laser and just killing people left and right with the high burst damage. Bulba chose to max march of the machine and kill ancients and farm the map which was very unconventional. The rest is history

Ok to any player fortunately enough to not play during the comeback patch be happy. Especially actual kids. I was in college and I had sometimes maybe am hour and every damn game we would try to play the game and then the comeback would happen. Aaargh.... I remember more rage dcs than actual thrown and there were many many throws. My mom used to scream through the door cause we were both in our bases playing hotpockets w8ing for the others to die either by running up our hg or by natural causes. I think that's the point where I picked up supporting cause I realized in lower brackets having a support at that crucial timing had real value. For like 2 r 3 games. I lost those games too cause sure it was early value but no damn way in hell could we do anything. Abondon and u loose even if ur team wins. And well dcs made the hg even worse. I remeber thinking I was a good carry at that point before starting to support just cause I was able to use the rubberband by farming for almost 25 mins. Now it seems like a long lost nightmare. Miserable dota in what was otherwise a cherisable college life.......

Gosh I miss the overhaul patches. Yes, current approach is more new players friendly because they now have a chance to adapt to the game without being afraid that it suddenly changes beyond recognition (and I believe there's even statistics confirming that people leave the game when Valve releases big patches), but as an old player I really miss the feeling of the upcoming major shift, when everything changes so drastically it's basically a new game at this point.

@Ryuu Only Silence your skill and dispel every buffs they have for entire duration, also slow enemies movement by 100% for 0.5 secs each time they get hit by heroes. The main reason why Nullifier broken nack then because it can dispel Eul Scepter and muted items as well, like how Doom ultimate did but with 12 secs cooldown and 5 secs duration. Every carry and offlaner buying it against Windranger, PA and Slark due their buffs are annoying as hell

I loved 6.84 I'd start playing dota again if that patch came back. Super busted Octarine Core and Guardian Greaves amongst other things. Have a good start with Storm Spirit and by 20 minutes you'd have near unlimited mana regen with the old Bloodstone. Sniper was at his weakest. Leshrac laning phase lmao, press the E button on the enemy mid and win your lane. Techies was so good. Good times
