Blink 182 - Anthem Part Two(DC Drum Cover)

Sooo many reasons for covering this song, il start out with the obvious being that travis barker is a massive influence on me and never ceases to amaze me with what he has achieved. I am very aware he gets a lot of criticism from the youtube community for not being as good as joey jordison or mike portnoy and so on. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, i just admire his enthusiasm and determination he has as a drummer.
The first set of videos i put out, "The Spring Episodes" was going to be full of blink 182 covers, but due to lack of practice space and time i thought i would leave any Blink songs i chose for the next set as i would want them to be exciting to watch and not look/sound too rushed.

Sounds good my dude! Really good! One thing I found to work for me was finding the BPM of the song I am covering, then play to a click track rather the song and use iMovie to sync the two. But still, your cover is good af bro!

Ridiculous to think Barker gets such criticism, I actually prefer his drumming style and he could (and has) incorporate his style into almost any genre of music. You're definitely worth a subscription, I really like your style.

If anyone is overrated it's Joey Jordison. Pretty much 95% of his drumming is double kick, I can't stand it. I don't see where there's talent and creativity involved in that all. And that is where Travis Barker, at least for me, sticks out the most. Also, great covers man, and you have a sick kit! Keep up the good work!

@awesomeaslikehell Its a remo ESDS without the external snap on dampening. I highly recommend it as it is very durable and could save you some cash in the long run. Make sure you use a beater patch though. DC

i respect both joey and travis, from what ive herd of joey jordison we uses singles alot both on hands and feet, which is the simplest rudiment there is however he does it like a boss, travis uses coutless rudiments and i think given the chance travis could play ridiculous metal with double kicks on a kit the size of his house. keep in mind that the best drumming ever performed was on a simple 4 piece kit
