Follow-up questions for Nick Williams kzbin.info/www/bejne/a4iYdZp7eKtrm9Esi=o9DF_8-HLvQvzu8A&t=498: - Who is the new Sidewalk Director? (Maybe some of these questions are best answered by that person) - Is there a map of "Sidewalk Gaps" & how can we report sidewalk gaps? - Is there a map of "Hollywood Sidewalks" & how can we report those so that they get set-back from the roadway? - Are we requiring developers to remove "Hollywood Sidewalks" & upgrade the curbs to the typical square curbs with a tree lawn & sidewalk that is appropriate for the block? - Why are some new/upgraded sidewalks being lined with curbs on one or both sides? Examples are at CO Blvd & 13th or 12th & Sherman. This applies to new curb-cuts as well. Why aren't the curbs terminating at the top of the ramp so that the intersection of the sidewalks doesn't have trip hazards alongside it? - For the Long-Term Schedule, DOTI should start with the areas that have had the Water Mainline Replacements completed. - Do sidewalks maintained by Denver Parks & Rec fall into Denver Deserves Sidewalks? Will it include connections across Parkways or along Denver Parks & Denver Golf Courses? - For the areas with existing sidewalks that are too narrow or areas without sidewalks, many property owners have encroached upon the public right-of-way thinking that their private property extends to the curb. In many cases, the City won't be acquiring "private property" but rather reclaiming the "public right-of-way" that was essentially assimilated as private property that the property owner likely didn't pay for & doesn't pay property taxes on. Would be great to have these questions answered on denvergov.org/sidewalks to help educate residents. This connection is low-hanging-fruit with the Denver Parks & Rec Crestmoor Park Projects. - Can we verify that there is protection planned for Northbound riders on Krameria at Colfax? - Can we update the Kearney NBW at 17th to include a diverter allowing drivers to make a U-turn on 17th on the nearside, but not allow through traffic on Kearney except for bikes? - Any reason why Krameria wasn't used at MLK Blvd to use the center parkway as bike & pedestrian refuge? Questions regarding Neighborhood Greenways Letter... - In the interim, Can we get approval and guidance on adding planters to the center of the asphalt traffic circles? Maybe local RNOs can identify volunteers to install & maintain them. - can we request the Neighborhood Greenways & all bike facilities connect to another bike facility maintaining the same level of comfort? Protected Bikelanes to mixing zones doesn't seem to maintain the same level of comfort & some Bikeways seem disconnected from intersecting routes like Kearney & Lowry or Blake & 20th(D4).
