I honestly don't understand what their thought process was with going first. It's literally the worst. 2nd gets free energy, an extra draw, can actually attack, gets 2 summons or a 2 drop on turn 1, and first gets 4 cards.

Going first can suck, but the way I see it, 2nd needs all the help they can get. When you go first, you will have energy advantage once their free energy is spent (outside of ramping, of course). Going first means you have turn advantage, meaning the opponent can have less turns to play cards than you. Ideally, when playing first, you play a 1 cost card draw to have 6 cards and not fall behind in card advantage. My summary; Going first means you have intangible & permanent value Going second means you have tangible (albeit temporary) value

I imagine they'll remove the free energy in the future. Everything else about going second is honestly fine, but it's that free energy that pushes it over the edge for me.

first play means you can setup first, considering this plays similar to most bandai tcg, most ramp and tech decks rely on going first to setup their engine which is often a 1-cost card, meanwhile aggresive high power/swarm decks wants to keep attacking and pressure opponents. Also at the end of the day, going first has turn advantage.

@Alino- Yeah because even if it's temporary, you still get a charge phase at turn 1. That's 2 energy turn 1 with a draw and most leaders drawing when they attack. So now you get I think it looks like 6 cards base, 7th for draw, 8th for leader attack, likely play a better 2 cost card or 2 1s now to draw in a great turn. Turn 1 is 6, charge the energy, spend a 1 drop, pass on 4. It's literally possible to get 8 to 4 depending on the draws/plays, while turn 1 starts at 7 life.

Broly decks are super spammed but not unbeatable. My experience, you have to either find a rushdown deck, play the resource game or make a board that isn't ruined by the insane removal. Broly and Teen Gohan decks seem to be weak at resource management. If you can force them to waste resources, they become significantly more beatable. So far, my best strat against it is Frieza decks. Using Frieza from the starter deck you can pump out the 40k beatstick pretty easily. Along with Meta-Cooler, I run 19 in the deck, and using cards to bring you half hp asap. I've also had small success with Ginyu Force decks but it's more of a rushdown strat and if your opponent gets the Teen Gohan 7 drop before you get your 5-8 attack turn, it's over.

My gameplan for fighting greens (usually broly) is to just absolutely rush getting their life down before they get to 8 energy. Bunch of 1-2 cost allies and focus purely on hitting the leader. Ideally you should have him transformed before turn 4, keep a final flash for goku drop energy removal, getting rid of their free draw engine. If they get to 6 or higher energy, it's practically gg, since they usually have a 6 drop double Android in there too. (I use blue decks primarily, vegeta w/35k on your turn w/ < or = 7 cards as a leader is nuts)

I think a lot of people are still not too good at the game and i get it i was new as well to the game and it took me a long time to figure things out but when you do and you know how to deal with diffrent match ups its really fun and not as toxic !

I'm new and also playing a started deck because why tf is f2p actually free 2 lose. so idk how valid my strategy is. But against Broly I actually wait to attack them at 5 Life. I usually wait until I have a double strike to take them down to 3 health, and when they transform they will lose another life. And if they do get a Broly on the field I try and have One God kamehameha and Adult gohan and Whis. to just Insta delete.

I’ve tried this as well.. I go frieza deck but most green deck players also run lv 7 Gohan which destroys a card up to lvl 5 on play (which destroys your best frieza card) and they have lvl 6 androids which can destroy 2 cards on play. You’re also almost assured to lose the energy game. I really can’t see any way that you can win against green decks

I think the biggest problem is that going second has so much advantage I think if both players start with 1 energy but player one still can draw that would make it more balance cause if green goes second they just stockpile so quickly.

I actually haven't felt the green decks have a huge advantage, I'm a frieza player and you currently have 2 ways to beat a green deck user. Either you high aggro and high tempo to kill them just before they can play their broly or you put in a bunch of blockers until they play broly to then perma control it with golden frieza. Beerus on the other hand is much more problematic for my deck in particular, all the combo power reductions make it so painful to play against.

This strategy doesn’t work when they play lv 6 androids which destroys 2 of your lower level cards and teen Gohan lv 7. Plus, they’re almost guaranteed to beat you in the energy and number of cards game. I have 80 matches played and most of my losses come against green decks

What kind of deck do you run? Most colors have options for green, and they usually consist of crippling their 5 drop Goku and bum-rushing them so they lose before they hit their turning point at 7 or 8 energy.

Honestly as a green player (My deck is still ass cause I’m not paying real money for this game) the best way to cripple us, especially Broly green players, is with Criticals. It forces us to either spend the resources in our hands or throw away the life draws that we rely on

You know what really bothers me about game like this? How hard would it have been to make a falling down animation? or just have them swap to laying on the ground before the smoke clears from your attack? It would have been a nice touch, and give you a better sense that you defeated your opponent.

icl green broly is a B tier leader. They are carried by the green package and even then the leader is ass. No draw when attacking on leader side (unless you pop an energy) and you crit a life when transforming. Just double strike a broly at 5 life and their life is in shambles

I think green itself is just a balance problem. It has it own counter like Yellow Ginyu deck fast enough to finish the game even before 7 Energy turn. Real problem is opening pack is just super hard to making deck F2P. Or make second deck without spend too much money. That make everyone build TOP meta deck which is green and it feel like only green color on ladder. It might just me, but I left my green Gohan and go on ladder with Ginyu rush just because when I match any Green auto win.

I'm a noob but I've been fighting against others with higher levels, and fighting against Green have been the toughest and longest matches but if you run a red deck with debuff's and God Kamehameha you can pretty much just delete their tougher cards like Turles and Broly.

I think yellow deck is stronger than green honestly. Golden frieza being low cost, able to double strike with good attack, and lock a card out for a turn, and being unattackable if freizas leader skills used to take them out of rest end of turns pretty hard lockdown. That said dont get me wrong, the broly boss monster is wild. You just gotta rushdown hard, fill your board with lots of lower cost stuff to bully them and make them waste as many resources as possible before they get their engine fully going.

​@ssjbread2803 That makes sense! I briefly played green then switched to a red deck and stuck with it, because I find it more fun to play even if it's not necessarily better. With red deck I struggle more against yellow than green, but neithers unbeatable. Makes sense green might struggle more against yellow. Only deck that seems underrepped just on my personal experience is blue. I barely ever see it, and most of the time they seem to not really know what they're doing with it. I've played one Zamasu who was fully taking advantage of leader skill and the less than 7 card effects and was seemingly playing optimally and I still beat him. Everyone else I've played against who had blue was just bumbling through playing random cards unable to use their effects. Not to say blue deck is bad on paper necessarily, people just seem to struggle to grasp it.

It doesn't really help you much, your fourth turn against green is better spent playing lower cost units to swarm the field. Also, unless you can finish them or deal a significant blow right away, save your big cards for AFTER they drop a broly or Gohan.

As some one who plays MTG, YuGiOh, Hearthstone, and Pokémon TCG. This game is incredibly unique. Card economy is super important, it always it but this game seems to emphasize it. Hand advantage is gigantic considering every card is playable just like in yugioh, and colors do certain things just like in magic, some creatures are useless for attacking just to search out things for certain decks like Pokémon. The thing this game has unique to it is ANY CARD can be Mana, and the combo system is super complex and hard to get your head around

It's a fun game, for me the biggest problem is that I had never heard of it until Doto started posting videos of it. That and the gems ratio for free players being quite abyssmal makes me a bit worried for its longevity (yugioh cross duels quick shut down has made me a bit paranoid for new card games). But hopefully it stick around ^^ Also hey the tips against Broly worked, full rush and ignore any and all blockers and just pray he dies before 8.

It's pretty solid! Only complaint I have currently is that it is... not remotely free to play friendly. Like you'll be lucky to get 1 free booster pack a week, if that. But for $60 you get 60 packs, which gets you playsets of like, every common and uncommon, as well as most rares, and some super rares. Honestly good value compared to games like Hearthstone. But yeah, I do hope they make the game more free to play friendly. I think you should be able to get like a free pack a day, cause even at that rate it'd take 2 months to get as many packs as just spending $60 gets you.

I see everyone hating on green, but as a Green Main, the only thing that could possibly be worse than it, is Yellow. As long as you keep green on the back foot, you’ll win. ive been playing yellow freiza starter, sometimes using a cooler leader. and i feel like its the hardest deck to play. So much risk for the same level of reward as other decks where they dont have anywhere near the same risk. Also cooler starter and awakened skill feel like butt compared to frieza awakened

Green really isnt a huge deal from what I've seen. Yeah, its arguably the best color in the format, but yellow is also incredibly strong, and it's not like it completely blows its competitors out of the water. They have REALLY explosive cards, but they have a hard time building their field presence and maintaining card advantage until they get enough energy to actually use those cards, and thus are very vulnerable to board control and rushdown tactics. They are really strong, but theyre not ridiculous to beat. Each color has at least one deck that can beat them, and anything not blue has multiple ways to go about it.

just like the rl card game green as always been too strong with every set, the old Saiyan deck was busted as hell with all the combo's that you can pull off and summon a load of characters on the board in one turn, the Cell/androids deck was stupid how ever i don't know what it's like now though lmao.

I think the biggest problem is the f2p aspect is a joke. The gems you get for playing are so pitiful it makes duel links seem generous. And even if you pay you don't get much stuff. The game is clearly meant to cater to physical players who buy packs because you can get codes from IRL packs to exchange in the game since I imagine only gigantic whales or people who buy booster boxes are the only ones able to have anything decent in the game.
