A machine designed to take the workers place and have everyone lose. John Henry took on the challenge against the machine. It ends with John Henry winning beating the machine through the mountain first winning but at the cost of his life. Dying in the hands of his wife and friends around him. If I remember the story is about human resistance, perseverance, and the heart to fight in the face of complete devastion
