I was in the choir when I was at university and the memories of the voice I had then haunt me to this day... Thank you for your time in preparing these videos, they are needed.

I'll do this warmup for 6 months and see where it goes. Today was my first day of trying it. It was great but I was still using my throat at some points but I'll keep working on my breath support and breath control
@DotsSinging Жыл бұрын
It's awesome to hear that you're giving this vocal warmup a shot and already noticing some positive results on your first day. Remember, building strong breath support and control takes time and practice, so don't be discouraged if you're still feeling some throat engagement at points. Consistency is key. I would spend 2 to 3 weeks on this routine and then try one of my other routines. If you can invest in a couple of in-person lessons you'll improve faster. Have a look at the Farinelli breathing exercises in this playlist to help with breath support. kzbin.info/aero/PLcigh71yKq2dUvYK39Y8HBXXL5J5N-2Br&si=4u9QkKZF_Fm9ll

Thank you so much for your videos! they're really really helpful!!! English is not my first language, so I don't really know what you mean when you say "when the voice flips". I understand cracking voice, but not flipping voice!! can you enlighten me? thank you so much ! :)
@DotsSinging Жыл бұрын
It means there is a sudden disconnection or change of quality, e.g. flipping from chest voice to falsetto without a smooth transition.

this is very useful but very long.

Thank you. Try only doing the exercises ascending only or descending only if you find it too long.

Thank you for the video! Why should soprano fast forward one part of pure chest exercise though?
@DotsSinging10 ай бұрын
The exercise is to isolate functional chest voice, so you stop before it goes into a mix.

Just a little observation : the instructions while we’re doing the exercises are very distracting, it’d be better if you put them in the description box for example so we can focus entirely and better on the exercises.

Thanks for your feedback! The comments in yellow are actually what many viewers say makes my channel different-they help reinforce key points in real-time. If you prefer, you can always look away and focus on the audio.

Good exercise but a bit too long.
@DotsSinging10 күн бұрын
Thanks for sharing! I suggest cutting it short by only doing some of the exercises ascending or descending only.
