Hi Steve, love you videos, learned a lot from them. Just one thing, you can configure a different email account, label the incoming mails sent to that email, and then just use Priority Inbox show those mails and your inbox mails in the same place. No need to turn on Multiple Inboxes from Labs.

This was very helpful, I never knew how to enable multiple inboxes, or that I could integrate my other email. I just started a new hosting account and I love all their services EXCEPT the email which is impossible. It's great to learn I can just fold it into my gmail account instead of fighting with their setup. Thanks for the info!

Love your stuff, keep it up. My issue is over the years I have made 4 different google accounts for different businesses and times of my life. These days I have one old gmail address associated with my youtube, another address for my adsense, adwords, another for my actual email account I use the most. Is there anyway I can consolidate it all under one current email account. It is annoying to have 4 google tabs open all the time. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Mr. D! I'm Sooo glad I found your site on you tube, I feel kinda embaressed having to ask you this... I don't know whats happening to my messages when their being sent thru my google gmail account!! Also I am not getting anything saying they could not go thru, Nothing!! I did click on IMap for my outgoing messages, in settings. Do you have a you tube video on that specifically?? Yes I clicked save after my changes in settings. I found this video interesting. I have been using Gmail since 2009 and I was not aware of a lot of the information you shared. Just an FYI, you can turn off the labels at the top. I tried them and did not like them. Great video. I look forward to to watching some more videos.

I really like your videos but just want to make comment that rapportive doesn't work due to Linkedin. Boomerang is extremely hard to disable after install. Maybe it has something to do after upgrading OS from 7 Ultimate to 8.1 Pro.

Thank you Steve for another great video. I'm just curious - is the primary reason you're using cloud-based Gmail, rather than a system like Outlook on your computer, is because it's ubiquitous and portable? And how have you found it when you' have no Internet connection?

FYI, I found out the "hard way" that the Preview Pane function (in Labs) removes the "create event" tab in Gmail...that sucks. Trying hard to convert from Outlook but every time I turn around its a "yeah but..." like this one.

Outstanding video. Funny how this all came to be. I was playing around gmail last weekend and somehow linked my yahoo account. Now how do I link my microsoft outlook account to gmail? Is it possible? Monty Pearson Easy to do Monty, follow the steps in the video, there are plenty of tutorials on line as well, but just set up all your email addresses in Gmail, pretty much the same process as when you first set up outlook.

dottotech You're right about that. figured that out five ten minutes after sending the comment. Had to go through Outlook to turn on it's POP feature. Lost an hour of good sleep time but it was all good. This morning, got up, got rid of my phone's generic email client, downloaded Gmail app, and BOOM!!!! It all came together. lol

Steve, you should mention Google Apps for Business. One of the barriers to adoption of Gmail I hear mentioned is that "it doesn't look professional for a business email to come from a gmail account". Few people realise that by subscribing to the paid for service they can use their own domain, sending emails from [e-mail]. Plus there is a whole lot of other good stuff in the paid for service. I use Google Apps for Business and I particularly like having our company logo in the top right instead of the Goggle distraction. I also have a number of websites with different domain names and I have all the emails from these sites coming into my one 'master' gmail domain, using the beauty of filters, redirection, etc.

Great video. Maybe you can help me. I have been using Gmail for years. A few months ago I realized that certain emails I received to my Gmail account were going straight to trash. Not spam, trash. So I never realized they were there. I don't see them on my iPhone or iPad either. I have started to check my trash folder on a regular basis and find emails there all the time but cannot figure out why they have been sent there. I love Gmail but have started transitioning to Yahoo only because of this problem that I have not been able to resolve on my own or with the Google help. Any ideas?

Jack Carney Jr that is strange, I have not heard of that issue, the only suggestion I have is if they are from the same addresses to make sure to move them into your primary inbox and instruct gmail to always do it for that address.

Why don't you run a poll on the most popular Gmail 'addon' apps. In addition to the ones you mention, I use Unroll.me which got me to Inbox Zero in no time, Powerbot for sending Dropbox links and Evernote Notes, and ToDoist for managing my projects and tasks.
