I am so used to my cousin wearing his stubby legs (he prefers them as he was born as a double amputee) that it throws me when he has on his mathematical height joints. He even built his own "shoe" base for his stubby legs to feel more like walking on his legs. He is wicked smart and intuitive. I wish he would work in prosthetics. Alas, he has found a career he loves and that is just as good. 😊

Stubbies are by far the most efficient and comfortable prostheses for the DAK amputees ; they are cheap, light and reliable and can be used for all daily activities. I strongly recommend them, even as permanent prosthèses.

How long does it take to walk on studies. I just became a double amputee
@ChristofferLindheTripleAmputee3 жыл бұрын
Hi, it depends on a lot of things, but mainly i would say that it's how well the socket's function in the beginning. When they are working properly then you can walk whit stubbies after a couple of days
