The Basilo is the real king of the ARK oceans. Not only is it immune to all motion-inhibiting attacks (cnidaria stun, electrophorus stun, tuso grab, even chain bolas), it has super fast health regen when its head is out of the water, it gives an insulation buff that's outright immunity to heat and cold debuffs, and it has super-fast stamina regen.

Mosasaurus: why am I so hard to find

I just was trying to tame a otter yesterday, and I found it DEAD. When it was swimming in the water, I was around on my pelagoris. I lost the otter while it was fast in the river. A lot the piranhas and spinosaur’s near by. I lost the otter, and found it’s stretched, dead body... glady, there was many down there in the river. I tamed a new one and it wears a purple, hide hat. EDIT: my otter died. A day later. So did my sarco to a pack of raptors.. sadly.

Do you know that you can passive tame a creature while being on a mount? That's how I tamed an arthro (while being on a scorpion). Taming a basilo while riding an ichty should be possible.

@@ages7076 Well yes, long as your scorpion was tamed in a cave (I'm not quite sure if it's a scorpion from the surface, since it should be a bug that concerns creatures tamed in a cave and not revived by an obelisk/revival platform)

IMPORTANT TIP: this may not be the case for everyone or it might be. I do not know. So I was an admin in my server. I tamed 2 basilos once. They were kinda hurt. I tried to use the god console’s heal on them. They died instantly. Be careful.

Yeah, the ocean isn’t really full of content, so for instance, they could do water caves or a water mithical creauture (like the unicorn/griffin) and maybe it could go both on water and on land, that would be super cool

Iguana you should try using a controller, mines has a clip where my phone clips on top of it and it really makes a difference. You won't have that punching your tames problem (or as you put it "it's just a high five") Ark has controller support and you can get the controllers pretty cheap..... Look up the iPega controller/gamepads! ✌️
