great video. I need to get my students to watch this. I will say that for staccato, I was taught to think of space. in other words, it's not the length of the note, but rather that there is a space between the two notes. small nit I know, but when presented this way, I avoid my students sounding like they are sanding a piece of paper. I know you mentioned this, but I lead with this idea.

Great video! Really like the walkthrough in the end. More videos like that would be great. I miss a video on how to switch between the bowing techniques in a piece, like, going from arco to spiccato, or any other combination. Thanks again!

Thank you for this, Jason. For hooked bowing, a slower demonstration of what's happening would be helpful, as would seeing the score with the bowing indicated as you'd do when playing hooked, and also mention of that it's usually an alternating passage of long and short notes. (Maybe that last point should be the first thing mentioned.)

Great tips as usual, even if it's way over my level. A Friend is offering me a French bow for Christmas, I'm inconfortable with my current German one.
