With the continuous development of new composite materials, thermoplastic composite sandwich panel can replace traditional metal sandwich panels.
They can be used for refrigerated transportation, thermal insulation, lightweight production of automotives, aerospace, military industry, etc.
Thermoplastic sandwich panels usually consist of three layers of materials.
The first layer is a continuous fiber reinforced thermoplastic(CFRT) uni-directional（also called UD） prepreg tape, the second layer is a honeycomb core or foam board, and the third layer is also a UD prepreg tape.
Sandwich panels are produced through continuous thermopress and cooling unit of a flat Teflon double belt press machine.
