August 5th 2023! Today I ride with a quad squad! My new buddies Chris, Carlton, Par, and Dave. (IG's: @unk.knownartist16, ‪@Trinimon18‬ ‪@parvezuddin‬ & @davebland116) We all met at Serena Gundy Trailhead and made our way down via Crothers Woods to ride Donaconda. A hard to get double black diamond trail with mandatory gap jumps. My first time capturing the gap jumps! It's been years since I've ridden because my skill was not up to par. But now it is!! Enjoy!

Did this trail a few weeks back on my second ride in the Don. Thinking I might have done at least one section the opposite direction of you (so easy to get lost in there and I was with experienced locals lol). Ran into a guy calling himself "Aussie Mike' who was quite a character.

@@NotionMTB I definitely entered going down the paved road and to the right (I remember because I got a huge stick stuck in my rear derailleur there was was lucky it didn't end the ride!). Hah no worries. He'll be hard to miss with a big Fu Manchu moustache if you run into him.

lol! I guess I commented early on the video… yeah towards the end is indeed Donaconda… I love riding dvp trails as well.

It's been ages since I saw those trails. The trees are bigger than they used to be. It's been close to 17 years since I lived there, but I think I've pretty much hit all the trails in the GTA. They used to have a map of all the trails. I got mine at Scarborough City Hall, but I have no idea if they have it anymore. It shows quite a lot of them. In Brookbanks Park in Scarborough, there's a culvert under the DVP and some neat trails in behind there too. Gets in the other side of the creek behind Tam O'Shanter golf course. The Don System was always a lot of fun. There's also Taylor Creek which has some good steeper sections. They're all connected. You can get from Pottery Hill all the way to Warden Station hitting almost no roads. Anewen Green Belt is ok.

@@DavidSinanan hey man! Yeh they are amazing aren't they?! There has been some major changes in the Don lately, but some things have remained the same. I'll have to check out Brook Banks Park in Scarborough, I have not heard of that one before. Thanks for the tip! Thanks for watching 😎🙏💪

Fun video. Amazing to hear the constant buzz from the Don Valley highway. I need to try these trails next time I am in Toronto.

I dunno if they've still got one, but Toronto used to have a Bike Trail map that was actually not bad. Mind you that was over 15 years ago, but it covered all the parks and connecting trails. There was some good routes through there. Check out Pottery Hill too, some decent downhill there. You can pretty much do a loop around Toronto/Scarborough barely hitting any roads. Occasionally the odd golf course, but all the paved paths usually have dirt paths running parallel.
