I guess will some of these ALCOs be retroffitted and converted / modified into Hydrogen Fuel Cell locomotive for heritage purpose and to show upcoming generations the glorious days of hood unit ALCOs and also to act as backup locomotive incase of e loco failure or not ? Kindly someone please reply.

If they will be retrofitted into hydrogen powered locomotive.. Surely they won't preserve it for heritage purpose.. They will be using it for frieght operation along with some of passenger operation (maybe).

Can Indian Railways fit or retrofit these ALCO diesel loco horns into present electric locomotives such as WAP-5 and WAP-7 if we railfans request ? I mean electric locomotives such as WAP-5 and WAP-7 honking or having horns exactly like the ALCO diesel loco horns ? Why ? Why not if no ? Kindly someone please reply
