I think the traps are pretty garbage in short games They have to be landed on and most tracks have splits so people can avoid them easily You have to find a space without alt paths that people want to land near, but since no one was near Price when he had 2 traps, they were the right thing to discard I do think tho if you have 3 items unless you know you have a need for all 3 it’s almost always worth to use one so you have at least one free inventory space

The steal a star trap sound way stronger than it is, as as its basically marking 1 space with extra danger which is way easier to avoid than say the boo. Dunno if I would call it good game design though feels kinda high roll-y.
