Mentioned this in another comment a few minutes ago, but I'm the one building a lot of the NDUbers teams. It definitely isn't close to CHALK but I've included that core (defensive pdon + ho-oh + physdef zygarde + arceus dark / fairy (lo yveltal answer) + offensive mons + featured shitmon) because it is pretty easy to use and is good enough into most of the meta that it can win despite the featured shitmon (mence + mmy are really the only two megas you should use). This sort of core isn't anywhere close to mandatory like CHALK was (my understanding as a non VGC player) and it has issues with some mons (i.e. Palkia-O or Specs Eternatus) but it isn't anywhere close to unbreakable, it is just good. The meta is actually really varied with everyplaystyle being decent and easily usable without any one being overly dominant (stall is the weakest though). I don't know if Joey/ Blunder plan to use the Lucario / Blaze teams I passed Joey, but if they do there will be a change of pace. Not going to give any potential spoilers beyond that. Ray is a good mon, but more of a B+/A- mon that is really good into defensive stuff but struggles v offence. I've made more of an effort to include it because it is one of the most fun mons to click buttons with and Blunder quite likes it. I'm really happy that Lebernatus James finally made its debut as it has been on a couple of teams that were not used.
