Double embossing with Cuttlebug and nestabilities

Amazing and fantastic. The chipboard embossing is just GREAT. My Cuttlebug has been sleeping for a couple of years. After watching this video I decided to get my enormous collection of Nesties and embossing folders and give this a try. Its such an elegant posh card. Thanks for sharing and caring. wow, thats brilliant, I knew that we crafters have to find out lots of new things we can do with die cutting machines but this is the best idea I have come across, thanks for showing it so well

When I discovered defusers, they were smaller than hoped, plus some had been discontinued. Then, thought why not make my own. And , here you are. EXCELLENT VIDEO. Thanks so much. This is the best I've run into for instructons.

Yep, that is me too. I have separate plates for my cuttlebug too. I too was horrified the first time I cut and it left marks. I thought I'd done something wrong and didn't use it again for cutting for a long time. Now I have two sets and emboss and cut to my hearts content. Love the video.

Thank you so much for sharing. I tried the partial embossing technique( the first part of embossing you showed) with my Cuttlebug and it didn't work, so I added another blank card(thickness of two pieces of paper) and it worked beautifully.

You can use the cardboard (firm) on the back of notepads. It's about the same as chipboard. Or if you want you recycle you can use cereal box cardboard but you will need at least 4-5 layers to be equal.

I did manage to cut the card, and tried to use 2 thicknesses of the heavy card but it would not go through , htried with lighter card but have not yet been able to emboss like the tutorial. it has either embossed much the same or just a little lighter in the hole. . Has been quite frustrating. can anyone send typed instructions please.

I can not get two pieces of chipboard through the cuttlebug without breaking it, Is there a thinner chipboard yo use, i went as thin as a cereal box and it still wont work.

HI there I laughed when I saw your video because I also got seperate labeled B and C plates - a set for embossing and a set for cutting. I was horrified the first time I used a die-cut and it engraved the B-Plate, so I got another set so that I could indulge my anal-retentive tendencies. Thanks for the tutorial.
