Thanks man for this assay....I just discovered that on my new XT-4 (was not on fuji before) and it's some good tips. Funny also to see after 10 years some streets of Norwich where I lived in 2013...... still the same cutty city. Have fun !

Was about to ask about overexposure. Thia vid helped me understand the first shots should be underexposed moer than the next ones. Like on a film camer, as you take more photos, it reexpises the same film or digital shot. If that makes anysense. Thanks for this vid!

Have a look at an interesting use of double exposure on FujiXWeekly, the X-Trans IV recipe "Faded Negative".

I recently purchased the XE4 and having been inspired by your video, I’m experimenting with Double Exposure - Thanks! - How did you manage to add the function to “My Menu” - I don’t see it as an Option when I try to add additional items?? - Cheers - Peter.

My dad took an awesome double exposure on accident once in Hawaii he got one absolute jem out of the entire roll, he blew that photo up a 50 inch print that hung over the door to our studio. Now I’m wondering where that thing went haha. Great vid, this is a seemingly forgotten technique in the digital era. I would probably just blend in post these days but that removes most of the action of the art.

I think getting a great shot in camera with this technique does need a bit of luck. That’s part of the fun, you’re never sure what you’re going to get and until you get the pictures on a big screen you don’t notice any of the small details. Thanks for your comment 👍🏻📷

Good stuff. Thanks for the tips. I was practicing DE in the yard the other day and had terrible results. Going to try your techniques. Stopping down is a great idea, because mine were coming out too light.

Nice experiment, I liked some of the photos u took I think im gonna try it myself even tho I dont feel double exposure works for street photography as there are so many elements overlapping.... I think it might look better if 2photos of the same place but with different ppl were merged.

There are so many different ways of using this technique. But I know what you're saying about street photography, it can look a little too busy. Thanks for watching.

Great video, I’ve been looking for a bit of inspiration so I might give this a go while I’m out and about today. Shots turned out pretty good for your first attempt 👍📷👍

Thanks Chris. I think with a bit of practice & some ideas of what to shoot before hand some good images can be made.

@@StreetsWideOpen yes it certainly adds a different flavour and makes you think about composition. That said you need a bit of luck with subjects, backdrop etc. If you find a decent backdrop at least you can fish for a while and make a nice set of same yet different looking shots if you know what I mean.

Hahaaa... you've got me at it on my xt3 😄👍 I'd forgotten all about this mode. The image of yours which you said was your favourite.... yep thats a beauty. That worked really well. 👏 It certainly adds a new fun dynamic to Street Photos 🙂

Ha ha 😀 Glad you liked it Steve. It’s a technique where you really can make some unique pictures.

Some interesting image's in this vlog dude.I haven't been out that much, but the streets are getting a lot busier. Which the last 2 times i found very odd and off putting. Being stuck up in the valleys not be allowed to go anywhere. But then being expected to start going out again like normal is very strange. So i used my Canon and an 18-270 lens just to get back into the hang of things. But will be giving this try for sure 👌

I'm good thanks for asking. I've just not had any time to shoot any videos for a while. Don't want to become a slave to the machine. I'm still making photos, just not videos. I'm thinking of doing some shorts, just got to come up with some ideas.
