Very informative thanx a lot… I am from coldest inhabited place in India so I naturally looking for glass which provides insulation.. Now i know IGU is the solution .. but could you throw some light on the thickness of the unit .. such as what should be the thickness of both glasses and what should be the dimension of a spacer for a residential building in cold place with plenty of solar energy

It depends on various factors like, Size of window, geographical location, floor rise, wind load and finally budget and aesthetic requirements. Of course DGU will always perform for thermal better than Single glass...
