The mother of former TikTok star, Ali Abulaban, took the witness stand Monday morning and testified about the day her son called her and confessed to killing his wife and her friend.
Dalal Warra testified that phone call took place shortly after the shooting, October 21, 2021.
"I just recall saying you know 'That's not funny, that's not funny Ali. Don't say that, that's not funny.' And then I received a picture, I deleted it right away. I hung up the phone and I literally fell on the ground," she said.
She testified the photo she was referring to was a photo of the victims, Ana Abulaban and her friend Rayburn Barron on the couch. During opening statements, prosecutors showed the jury the graphic photo of the victims, which was taken after the shooting.

My parents also had me when my mom was 16 and my dad was 18. They were literally growing up with me. But they did their absolute best to raise me. I’ll admit they could’ve done some things better. But they were forced to get married and have me. I’m 22 now and about to finish college. I’m not going to throw away all of my parents hard work of raising me over a relationship or not controlling my emotions. I’ll admit I do have anger issues. But I never take them out on people. I go for runs whenever I’m mad. It just makes me feel like I’m running away from my anger. And by the end of my run, I’m no longer angry because I then feel satisfied with how long I ran and how much calories I burned. Just be careful everyone. I know I don’t speak for everyone, but life is just too precious to throw away.

I get the impression he had some sort of a mental or other disorder brought about by his childhood that was never diagnosed because of fear of stigma present in such families. He was disturbed, she sounds like had her own issues. Now one is dead, the other in prison. And the innocent child set up for life of problems of her own. The vicious cycle continues.

Ana’s parents are Filipino citizens living in the Philippines 🇵🇭. Amira is a US citizen because Ali is a US-born citizen. It would only make sense to have her live with relatives in the United States 🇺🇸 provided they have no criminal record or serious financial problems. FYI, you don’t know what kind of household Ana was brought up in. There’s no guarantee they were better people. Ana grew up to become a cocaine addicted party girl, hustling different men for a green card.

@@Hattori_Keiko It’s not for you to decide either what is best for his daughter. Also, you don’t know if the grandmother is going to forcibly take her to see her father or not. In any case, once she’s 18, she’ll decide for herself whether she wants to have any kind of relationship with her father or not. Amira has no other family in the United States 🇺🇸 and the only other option would be foster care or being put up for adoption, which makes no sense when you have a healthy living relative that is willing to give you a home 🏡.

The parents emigrated to a country where there is separation state/religion and ppl are equal, however they brought with them principles such as adultry by women is more serious than by man, respect must be shown by women towards men and men should teach their wives how to behave; one might wonder if emigrating was such a good idea. Now Ali tried to have one leg in each world which made him unstable...

I have a feeling she allowed her children to indulge in watching gangster movies at a young age as Ali’s brother, Sammie, is also doing time for shooting at a moving vehicle. This may seem like a tangent, but parents are cautioned to monitor their children’s screen time and what screen content they are exposed to from a young age. Violent experiences as well as violent images do affect brain development.
