Hi, I’m Krista! I make math courses to keep you from banging your head against the wall. ;)
Math class was always so frustrating for me. I’d go to a class, spend hours on homework, and three days later have an “Ah-ha!” moment about how the problems worked that could have slashed my homework time in half. I’d think, “WHY didn’t my teacher just tell me this in the first place?!”
So I started tutoring to keep other people out of the same aggravating, time-sucking cycle. Since then, I’ve recorded tons of videos and written out cheat-sheet style notes and formula sheets to help every math student-from basic middle school classes to advanced college calculus-figure out what’s going on, understand the important concepts, and pass their classes, once and for all. Good video, very helpful. I think it might be more helpful if you explained why you integrated in the order that you did (dydx). Which I think is because this is a vertically simple region? Either way, it took some thinking for me to figure out why you chose the order you did, and it would be nice if that was explained better. =p
@Mindbulletz
@Mindbulletz 6 жыл бұрын
If you were to integrate with respect to x first, you would have to split the integral up into two integrals, one for the region above y = 1, and one for the region below. Notice that when integrating w.r.t. x first, you have two possible equations as your upper limit.

You are certainly the best teacher in calculus 1 and 2 but basics me she is a must in engineerings but some must have at least more than 7 years to become a nerd .in pascal maths is boring to death there is no logics maths the intecracies is just a weird mind bending .but creativity some had to have at least 6 to 8 years to pretend to be something unez to consider .even ivy are just ivy in their classical ways respectable.dimetimes is becoming boring in the sense of research and creativity .when you look at rafale or airbus 360 even shuttle it's me who design it and the crook Italian stole by mass murders by crooks lawers of that Rumsfeld ..and panetta the 2 make the pair .why we build rafele and airbus cause some nutties engineers with no purposes are out of jobs .just like I build the Lumineers to the president dean of fr professors cause our tenure masters in dentistry is out of job with no reason to be blundgoen by some nutties apartheid progressiste haters .dime just can't get it get yet that once the crooks are know by their tenuteoutrage if haters and prejudice the good ones are neither to fearcause some nwrds are recin by their peers and not the crooks mobs crial intentions of lavish underseval haters .

why is p(x,y)=x+y necessary to know to do this calculation?
@fogijay
@fogijay 10 жыл бұрын
p(x+y) is the density which in this case is mass per unit area (density = mass/area) (and is not necessarily constant over the entire area). so you integrate p(x+y) with respect to area to get mass. (one could see that from mass=density x area)
