I just saw this movie last night for the first time & man this scene was so epic y’all don’t know how happy I was for Libby in this scene. The look on the husband’s face when he saw Libby was priceless & satisfying to watch because the fact that he faked his death make Libby spend 6 years in prison & then have her friend turn on her & raised her son with him & thinking Libby was just going to disappear & get away it was just funny to me. I’m so glad Libby got her son back this was a good movie.

No kidding. He killed Angie. Ever since that phone call from Libby to Angie when they were in San Francisco, Nick knew that Libby would have found both Angie and him there or in Colorado or somewhere else. Angie was stupid. If he hadn’t killed her in Colorado in that house explosion, he would’ve killed her on a boat somewhere in Vancouver like how he faked his death and framed Libby or in New Orleans.

But it’s not what’s played out in the film. She probably wasn’t ever going to kill him if he had just gave up their son. Only reason she did was out of self defense.
@cristinarivera57073 жыл бұрын
This is true but if she didn’t kill him the first time then I don’t see the difference. She still did time for a crime she didn’t commit so I personally think they would just give her time served. Also, the jury could be deadlocked because they might not even want to convict her after hearing the story of her husband faking his death, setting her up, getting her convicted of murder, taking away her son, etc. I certainly couldn’t convict somebody after they’d gone through all that but that’s just me.

She could have saved herself plenty of time if she just called the authorites instead, they would have identified him as Nick, he would be arrested for fraud, she would be dropped of all charges (presumebly if she isnt charged for disobeying her own parole conditions, but I'd imagine the fact her original crime becomes null and void anyway at that point), she would have gotten her son back quicker. Save herself a bit of hassle

@loganstroganoff12842 жыл бұрын
I always liked this movie but for one huge plot point featured here..there is no way an outsider could move to new orleans and infiltrate the upper class society of that town pretending to be a native and pull it off. For one they'd spot your fake accent a mile away no matter how much you practiced. Number two new orleans is not a big place. They'd immediately want to know who you are,your family,who your friends are,where you went to school,etc. This really goes for most places but especially new orleans. They should've made him a rich transplant that broke into society instead of pretending to be a native and actually pulling it off. Even if he was supposedly from south Louisiana outside new orleans they'd still figure him out very quickly.
