You guys have been blessed with great ❄ and we as viewers with a great vicarious experience. I realize you have many comments to sort through. I am curious...your ski doo obviously did not lack for power in this video. What then do you attribute the difference? Predominantly track length, sled weight, general design of the different sleds, rider imput? If you could give your opinion on from most to least contributing factor, I would be interested and most appreciative. Thank you for all of your videos it is truly a fun ride😊

With these new machines it'd be the riders input that dictates how well it'd go. Then come reliability cause' you'd obviously want your sled to blow up while out riding in the BC. Weight and power is probably next as u can't have as fun on a 90hp Tundra as on a 180hp Freeride Turbo R.
@burninrubber427
@burninrubber427 2 жыл бұрын
It would be mostly track length... Obviously rider skill is huge too but Matt's a great rider. I ride a 154 and my buddy has a 165 and it's remarkable the difference that makes
@jonathanbeaumont2183

Mostly track length and weight. Matt's an excellent rider. Freeride are heavier machine and shorter track. Think about walking on snow then add snowshoes then go up too a bigger size snowshoes you float/ walk better ,if your not fat like me lol. Easiest way i can explain without getting all technical..
@208SledHead

The Polaris makes considerably more horsepower than the Doo does. If you watch Matt ride on his Khaos, it's very evident that he goes more places on his Polaris than his Freeride.

Why not snow check a 165 track on your 9R? Not as good in the trees? Seems like 165 for the powder you guys ride would be a no brainer. Spoken from a flat lander trail rider with limited Big Horn, Cooke City, and West Yellowstone “mountain riding”. Revelstoke rocks. Closest I got was Purcell Mountains and unfortunately age has caught up with me. Should’ve hit Revelstoke when I had a chance. Enjoy your youth. Ride on! Enjoy the videos. Keep ‘m coming

I see no benefit going from a turbo to a 900R for those of us riding at elevation, I spend all day around 10-11K feet. I went from a 860BB 163 to a 154 Turbo and it's night and day difference. Even for the current Boost riders, I don't see many riders going back to a NA sled. I think that 900R is purely a novelty items for a select group of riders like Muskoka, Burandt, Sahen, guys that are riding 30+ days a season.
@MuskokaFreerider

I disagree. We really don’t ride that high up here. Lots of our tree riding is at 5000’ Sure it’s lacking the top end power of the boost but the throttle response and torque with be unmatched. Will shine in the tighter technical trees. Not the stuff where you just hold it wide open
