I don't remember the direct quote but it was along the lines of "when someone buys off of Etsy they always say ' I got it on Etsy' and never from you directly." What is your opinion on using your name for your business? I have been making some sales selling greeting cards at etsy but using under my name for business, but now i am considering changing to a shop name instead.... Do you think it's too late or awkward to change the business name?

Using your name for your business is a fine idea - it's very unlikely to be copied by someone else like a shop name might be. However, if you feel that changing the name to something more suitable to your business is in order, I recommend that you research if that name is available on all platforms online (web address, Instagram, Facebook, etc.) and before you make changes, make sure you let your audience know of the change ahead of time (over and over and over again).
