just an idea. I think it would be cool to see you jump rope in the dark where your rope is glow in the dark or black light reactive and you are dressed as a stick figure that's glow in the dark or jump rope reactive. Be good for a Halloween video.

This is great, the explanations are so helpful. Understanding the reasons why your short rope is more efficient. I've learned so much, really keen to go skip and try out some skipping to try some alterations with what you've helped me understand. Massive thank you :)

🤔yes yes I'm starting to see a benefit of subscribing to your channel... I've gotten comfortable jumping an have done a few cross overs not 10 in a row but I've not done doubles or mixed an matched them either so a goal is set to further my jumping thought I'd have to jump for 20-30 min to get gassed out this should push my mind an body to be out of breath an spent thanks

So, I started with the open-cross, but found that sometimes I'd step on the rope in a way that would jerk my hand down, and doing it too many times was starting to bug my shoulder. Cross-open may be slightly harder to learn (though, not by much, from my personal experience), but the mess-ups were less painful.

@laurenjumps, your friend Rushie doesn’t flick/whip the rope down. Says it wears it. So he rolls his wrists. But you don’t. Do you wear our ropes more at the handle? Both pvc and beaded ropes you flick/whip the rope down right? Just trying to not develop bad habits. Thanks and great video from 2 lovely girls!!! Mad skills you both have! 🫶🫶💯💯👍🏼👍🏼

I'm 75 and find, if my attention is on my hand placement -- left and right hands almost hugging their respective hip and reintroducing the rotational force with a mere 180° snap down, from 12 O'clock to 6 O'clock, EVERYTHING works better. This is a game of "muscle memory". Remember this: The rope, anchored in each hand and the ends held apart, forms a caternary curve -- a parabola. Moving either hand or both apart imparts a logarithmic relationship to the rope's elevation. Move apart 1/4" and the elevation rises. Move another 1/4" apart and the rose's elevation rises SEVERAL TIMES GREATER. This is mathematical reason enough to keep your hands close in -- you won't have to jump as high! At 75 years old, jumping at all is a challenge. Jumping HIGHER? Ya . . . No thanks.

I truly have no idea what I'm doing wrong. I keep hitting the back of my head. I'm getting frustrated. My rope handles come up to my rib cage, my arms are elbows tucked, wrist spins the handles.. And then the rope hits the back of my head.... grrrrr

now try doing them on one leg continuously , then alternating legs.. then do all that backwards. Then do it all with a beaded rope. Amazing someone who can't do half the things I can do on a jump rope, has a million subscribers. And I do about a hundred OTHER things better than most, other than just jump rope.. and have zero subscribers. It is just like the Olympics, they aren't the best in the world at anything, they are just the people that get all the attention.
