@Justin Wong, the reason gwm proton cannon is doing that much damage and causing a dizzy out is because that guy is using autofire. Basically gwm proton cannon in particular is mashable for more hits, usually you can get around 35-38 hits max with really hard mashing. Him getting around 50 is pretty much impossible without autofire.

When a wolverine user knows how to abuse all of his tools in mvc1 gwm is essentially fodder to him.

Firstly both chars have different health values, with wolverine being a low health character and gwm having one of if not the highest health in the game, as well has dealing high damage per move. Yes that proton cannon did alot of damage, and it did seem that bbx didn't do as much. However, again, this still isn't a factor when at high level gwm isn't even able to hit a wolverine that is played correctly, as wolverine for example is fast enough to jump in vs gwm with a hp, hk then instantly grab gwm or land, do s.hp and sj away before gwm can do anything, with each hit uncombo'ing on gwm for some reason and doing ALOT more damage than it should, you can easily wear down gwm doing that to get nearly 40% damage each time from using those normals and then just sj'ing away. The reason why jwong is losing here is due to lack of mvc1 experience and lack of experience using wolverine, because if he had the exp/knowledge using wolverine none of what the gwm user did here would work at all, so the damage difference would essentially be a non factor. Wolverine played correctly is the best character in the game by far, what you see here is just an inexperienced wolverine vs a basic level gwm.

"That's unblockable" Yep, that's why we do it. A lot of characters have combos that reset the combo meter, which resets damage scaling. Some of the easier ones would be Chun Li's air combo to super, in the air do lp lk and cancel into kick super, the super will connect as a single hit, unblockable with full damage. Or wolverines corner combo. c.lk c.mp mk mk c.hp hk. On a lot of the cast, this will reset. On Spider-Man, you can even do the mk mk c.hp hk again a second time. Absolutely destroys characters.

Roll is not too bad in this game since she actually deals damage in comparison to Roll in MVC2, MVC2 toned down a lot of the MVC1 characters with only a few exceptions. Because of DUO roll is perfectly fine by playing the run away and grab game since she is so small and lot of supers and combos cannot be performed on her.

Maybe Onslaught has a slightly different system but I'm not super familiar with Onslaught, this stamina system only became universal in MvC2.
