Where is the best spot for heartwood? There used to be big trees in the old forest with a kind of rough bark, but I can't seem to find those anymore.

The twisted trees in the haunted / foggy biome have them now. You'll get 4-20+ per tree depending on the tree size

It is a bug at the moment, they didn't populate them in most of the areas they should be in.

Can Loios' Tears Leaves be found in a biome or only on NPC's. If so, which biome please.

I haven't found that actual plants yet, but you can get them from all of the inquisitors, no matter their level.

Why am I not getting wool to drop from boars? Skinning lvl 10 currently

The best trees are the oaks, second best is the twisted trees in the haunted forest. Pines are just one up from regular softwood. Basically the secomd worst trees.

You should be able to transfer your items back into your inventory

Press the "L" key to open up the stored inventory; everything you had pre-wipe should be there. As it's account bound, you could make up a brand new character (as I did) and still have access to it. When you do hit the "L" key and open that menu, remember that there is a search bar and if you have anything typed in there, the rest of your things will not show up.
