I feel like dl's jinx mechanics were like extremely rusty this game he used rockets way more than he should have instead of mini gun when the tanks were close to him

Mojo Yala in general rockets are better because it gives literally 200 range which allows you to be farther than Caitlyn. Also rockets do more aoe damage with runaans than minigun especially when the runaan rockets can also crit. So it's 180% aoe damage that crits for 2.5x so you do 460% aoe damage instead of 250% single target damage.

Rockets are better in most situations, but he screwed himself by running out of mana in a lot of the fights because he didn't take advantage of using minigun when the opportunities were there.

I feel like you do not really have a clue on how to play and position in league of legends - only for you i analiyed the first 5 minutes, and there was not even a window >1sec where he didn't use the right form. Other than in your silver/gold games, the whole team eventually loses the fight and the game the moment a tank cc's your jinx for 1 second. Doublelift either used minigun on confident and save situations, or the rocket launcher when he was near CC or too much up the front, he also perfectly mid-attack swapped forms to not chase out too far and still hit his targets. if you truly think what you wrote down - that just means you are not good enough yet

Jinx is never really gonna be completely off tho, as she pretty much always will have the power to carry with enough items. The pick even makes a lot of sense in a teamfighting meta that favors late-game hypercarries actually. So it was not that crazy to pull off, and Doublelift has been known a bit for his Jinx as well if I'm not mistaken. It certainly is much more of a surprise than if it was AN that picked it, but still relevant.

yeah, she has high damage, but is also one of the squishiest champs in the game period. she needs her team to lock down the enemy so she can safely do damage, before she is super busted lategame with every basic attack healing her 30% of her health

True, but given a comp that will allow her to be safe in fights (which most pro teams will rarely fail to draft if they have planned on picking Jinx anyways), she is agruably one of the best teamfight champions for any role, and may very well be one of the best teamfight ADCs (with only the likes of Twitch and Sivir competing for that title atm).
