Amumu feels less bad than fiddle in Lud’s hands imo. With fiddle he just thinks he needs ult to do anything, and will just stay away doing nothing as long as he has no R. With amumu, at least he can do stuff without his ult, I feel like he’s less afraid of going in with amumu. Maybe he’d need to learn Warwick or something to learn how to go in, but with Warwick that’d be a bit of a different style of champ. Still, it’s undeniable he needs to learn other champs by experiencing different play styles, he needs to understand what’s the purpose of a jungler, not just how to specifically do one thing right in one champ (he specifically seemed to only have learned how to clear well with fiddle, and he hyper focuses on that)

I think doublelift is wrong about amumu. In high elo he's right, but in Silver, amumu is cracked. He has easy ganks, great CC, high damage for a tank, and an ult that can straight up win teamfights.

Can't blame him tho, doublelift's knowledge works for high level play and that has it's own value. Just wonder if sometimes that is kinda hindering to what could be "enough" for a more noob player

Made me genuinely angry. He doesn't understand that just clearing isn't what is gonna win him the games. There is value to clearing well, but clearing is generating gold for himself (like farming), but ganking and getting objectives generates gold or value for the team (although riskier, which is why he struggles with it)

Honestly, if Lud just plays Hecarim he can definitely follow both DL and Perry's advice. Hecarim has one of the best clear speeds in the jungle which would allow Lud to follow Perry's advice of clearing his camps as quickly as he can. Hecarim also has a tool, his E, to quickly move around the map and help his teammates for easy ganks like DL says. Amumu is just too much of a slow jungler for him to feasibly do both at his current level. Plus, Hecarim actually synergizes well with Veigar because Connor can just drop his cage and Lud can just push the enemy onto the cage wall for a guaranteed stun. But alas, he refuses to play any other champ. lmao

Perry gave Lud an advice based on what rank he wants to achieve and if im not wrong Perry gave the advice based around Lud as a fiddle OTP so yeah clearing camps is number one prio bc its fiddle but DL gave Lud the "generic high elo jungler" advice bc its true in high elo and pro play as an extension after 15 mins ganking and helping lanes to snowball is way better but thats bc in higher elo you expect your team to do the optimal thing but this is silver we are talking about you could help a lane snowball and they would still find a way to int so yeah in this case farming and getting items will 100% be better

Even in silver i dont feel like amumu is that great. Playing cc champs in low elo requires ur teammates to do the damage which is in consistence. Amazing engage for sure but its not a champ u can carry with and to climb in silver u will need to carry. WW would suit this more but i feel like the way to get the most value out of it requires atlot of good spacing and be good at sidestepping alot spells. I personally think connor should just teach lud how to play bruiser champs like jarvan or kayn or even stuff like zac which u can still easily oneshot backlines and be tanky enough to survive the majority of stuff they throw at u

Many mean comments and people that clearly don't know the game, there are very few shortcuts to ranking up for new players, those shortcuts are only boosted strats/champions that will fall behind as the game and the meta changes, Lud needs to learn other aspects of the game, lane prio, xp and cs advantage, time enemy ss, improve microgame, adjust decisions base on the state of the game, using f keys to look at lanes, play different champions to understand what they do, to forge his own playstyle, there are farming, aggressive, lvl 6, late and early champions and new players won't be able to climb the ladder if they don't understand them. Coaches have a lot of experience and do give shortcuts on of knowledge of the game, but telling "don't play ammumu or fiddles" is the worst of the lessons, playing more champions is good to understand strength and weaknesses, which some of these will be more or less noticeable as he climbs up and faces better players. Best lesson is retrospective, try to figure out what was needed to win, knowing how to win both with an advantage and disadvantage is very important, lots of people give up in a 3v0 game because they don't understand other mechanics of the game that help them get into a better position even when behind.

Imagine two gunslingers facing each other point blank and somehow missing their full magazine, only for a stray bullet to bounce off a barrel and kill both of them. Chaotic and stupid right? To be fair as someone hat watched DL through his active pro Career and in a lot of interviews, he isn't the best entry level Coach. As great as DL is in a lot of ways, he's not very concise and he's not a Coach. You can see that multiple times by baiting Lud into bad plays after the fact. I agree with him though in a lot of his Analysis with hyper-scaling + ganking and that Connor and Lud are oddly disconnected despite playig so much together. DL was 100% an entertaining personality for the stream and had a more postive than negative Impact on the game. I just think a real Coach would be even better

Every jungle is good honestly, winrate and meta doesnt matter in low elo in my opinion. What Doublelift is saying applies in his elo, in a game where everyone is good mechanically the only thing that can give you "more chances to win" is playing meta champs. But in low-elo is a constant clown-fiesta where everyone makes mistakes and chances to make a comeback while being behind is high, unlike high elo where if a team gets a snowball going, they know how to not throw the lead (reason why ff15 is common in high elo). Perhaps I'm on the wrong page but I simply don't like Doublelift's coaching. A lot of this match was Ludwig and him eating while talking about plays after the fact rather than focusing on improving his game. A lot of Ludwig's mistakes or engages could have been spotted in the moment and adjusted by Doublelift telling him what to do and where to move. His aim should have been to clean up on Ludwig's errors and start giving him actionable habits to start carry out in his next games, not commentary after the fact. I just think there's so much he could have improved on especially with two players in the room and helping them coordinate better. If someone is going to help him stop tunnelling it'll be the coach and I don't think Doublelift made an attempt to beak the habit.

Ik it makes sense to not waste your time on a losing lane but I can’t help to get frustrated and let my emotions take over me when I really just need one gank to win my lane so the next 10 minutes isn’t a miserable experience.

You don't know that one gank is gonna win your lane. It's easy to hate on the idea of "don't gank losing lanes" but the theory behind it is super solid, Doublelift's not even good at explaining it. If your lane is in a deficit, there's a chance you get 1v2'd. Even if you don't, there's a chance you don't get anything from a gank. Even if you do, there's a chance it doesn't actually change the game state when the enemy laner gets back on the map. Even if it does, what if the enemy jungler counterganks, since you'd lose 2v2? Even if he doesn't, what if he ganks _after_, and then you're back to losing your lane. Even if he doesn't, what if he does anything on the other side of the map? Now, in your best case scenario for your own lane, the opposite lane is losing and you've traded objectives. So the absolute best thing that can happen from ganking a losing lane, assuming both teams are of equal skill, is trading pressure from one side of the map to the other. If your team's behind, this doesn't change anything. Even if it's not, why do you think you'd be the better candidate to carry the game, considering you were losing your lane, than the lane that was winning until your jungler sold them?

Focusing on guaranteed gold is the easiest way to win, for example why would i gank a losing toplaner, when i can make pressure botlane, get fed/help my adc get fed and win the game?

The issue is that jungle is trying to be nearly everywhere at once at times. I need to clear camps to scale, they need to clear objectives when available to keep the enemy from scaling, and they need to weigh the pros and cons of ganking three different lanes that are all pretty different. Some times while they're doing this the top lane for example will fall behind and you look up and see that the guy you're trying to gank is 2+ levels ahead or has ult when you don't, so why would they risk trying to get a kill there when they can just jump onto the squishy mage mid which is guaranteed or snipe the support bot lane when they push slightly too far up. The choice becomes to either try and help one lane try to not fall behind to keep things even or help a lane already ahead confirm their snowball and carry the game

Its been frustrating watching this becasue Lud is actively trying to learn and improve and Connor is just running it down either feast or famine every game and is learning nothing, just knows how to play his champion.

Connor is doing it right. He’s trying stuff in terrible elo. This will make him improve significantly quicker imo.
