John Zorn, talking in his apartment about his experiences in Japan, Ornette Coleman's music, and so on. Also, a cool Spy vs. Spy live footage ! Featuring appearances by Yale Evelev and Ikue Mori.

I know you've probably already forgotten this post, but just thought I'd mention it. She actually says "can", not "can't. It's a very common pronunciation error for even higher level Japanese speakers of English. Apparently she was trying to say that he knows how to speak a few phrases of relaxed "street Japanese", but probably not much more.

2:57 one of the interviewees mentions a guy named Tim Burn and then they cut to a scene with the guy you are referring too (the one who looks like Paul).

Totally agree, the Bar Kochba Sextet, for me is like listening to some wondrous middle eastern dream.

great description! yes some of his stuff is so melodic and entrancing then he has the ear piercing sax squealing stuff which i get is his shtick but for actual listening i prefer the more accessible stuff!
