This trailer pulls the heart strings as the song being played is Hurt by Johnny Cash, and with those emotions being triggered, people still cannot help but make comparisons to The Last Of Us. X-Men Apocalypse is a good movie, the problem is whenever people watch it they already made up their mind to watch it as a prequel. That's not a good idea. The whole point to X-Men Apocalypse is to show what new changes are now on the original X-Men timeline since the time travel in Days of Future Past have led to that. The changes on the original timeline in Apocalypse are mistaken as plot holes. It's like you have to be a hardcore X-Men fan to understand why X-Men Apocalypse is a good movie.

missourigreen051 my main complains are: poor main villain, poor portrayals of some characters ( cyclops, jean, mystique). The four horsemen were a complete joke. Not giving Storm a proper background story, instead we get Wolverine yet again. And the dark phoenix story is not true to comics.

People always use the argument that Marvel movies don't "need" to be dark or edgy or Rated-R to be good. Some even oppose the idea of an R-Rating. Blade and Spawn were violent R-Rated comic-book "hero" movies, beginning before the year 2000, and no one cared. The Wolverine releases an extended-unrated version with swear words and blood and violence throughout, and no one cares. Deadpool comes out, says poopy-cock-ass jokes and cuts peoples' heads off and everyone loses their minds. Then Bats v Supes was barely rated R, a swear some blood and more story, and was HATED for trying to push a "dark and edgy" agenda. Now Logan is Rated-R and people are "skeptical". Like being Rated-R is a gimmick... Why is every comicbook superhero movie, that isn't older or Deadpool, getting shit for their ratings? Just let them make a movie, finish the project, and release as is, regardless of its rating.

I grew up with the original X-Men animated series and X-Men Evolution. My favorite X-Men members were always Cyclops and Nightcrawler, because of those 2 shows. Hopefully, Jackman retiring means that the X-Men franchise can put more focus on the entire X-Men team now, especially Cyclops and Jean.

Mr. Sinister is supposed to be the main villain in this film, and since they hint at mutants being 'gone' I'm thinking the plot will be Sinister releases the Legacy Virus and it causes mutants to become infertile and die off, but Sinister is able to create mutants immune to it via his genetic experiments and it ties into his company grabbing that vial of Wolverine's blood at the end of X-Men Apocalypse.

I want you guys to really think deep about this: what if we're all wrong about these "timelines." What if every X-Men movie we've seen has been an offset fractured timeline. The X-gene is evolutionary/revolutionary mutation right? What if every major generational wave of global mutations has induced a self sustaining time fracture of sorts that none of the X films are really derived from the main "river of time". So Logan is a derivative of a derivative of a derivative timeline that through Essex corp some kind of lab creates X-gene virus as spread violently within a few years to wipe out all mutants and with Logan/Xavier/X-23 dying will reset the world into the actual main timeline...mind blown^4

I love Corey #2, but he is wrong here. Last Of Us is not an original story. I know gamers fawn over Last of Us because writing in games is usually so poor, but Last of Us took a lot from Children of Men & The Road. Which themselves have been influenced by older properties. So I would say I see way more similarities between Last of Us and Children of Men, or/and Logan and Children of Men, than Logan & Last of Us.

I do believe Logan is going to be a good movie, but I also believe Korey is going to give it a bad review. Before X-Men Apocalypse came out I predicted that Korey was going to give it a bad review and I ended up being right. Korey is a good critic but his review shouldn't be taken seriously if it's on a comic book movie, because if it's not a Marvel MCU movie he's going to look for poor reasons to hate the movie. Korey is that much of a hardcore Marvel fanboy. Before someone says "he gave a good review to The Dark Knight," well that movie came out in 2008, it wasn't until after the release of the first Avengers movie was when it was considered a trend among Marvel fanboys to hate on any comic book movie that wasn't a MCU Marvel movie.
