Yeah, no, this was an extremely irresponsible production. I don't care how much everyone shits on CGI, if I were a director and having a major scene involving an actor and a fucking lion/tiger/leopard/whatever extremely dangerous animal, I'm not putting the actor and cat in danger. That cat's gonna be CGI.
@daliborjovanovic5102 жыл бұрын
Even if the cats were the best-trained animals in the world (which is a pipe dream), it’s still better to go the CGI route, since the latter is a much more controllable and versatile option that also opens the door to doing whatever scene you want. I never bought a tiger or lion or bear play-wrestling with their trainer who acts as the actor’s stunt double as a real fight or mauling. Using real animals is not only morally dubious but it’s also very limiting.
@EverEssence47902 жыл бұрын

@daliborjovanovic5102 жыл бұрын
To be frank, the people who made this film possible should have been hauled off to the slammer for endangering people and for animal abuse. Big cats are some of the last animals you want to work with, not only are they incredibly powerful and dangerous, but they are highly unpredictable, and even trained ones still have deeply rooted predatory instincts that can be set off at any moment. If you’re handling these animals, you better avoid falling over, because that might trigger the cat to lunge and throttle you like you were an impala after seeing your exposed neck.

Did they do this movie for preparation for Idras Elba's beast movie or just a funny coincidence?

I'm hoping one day they'll do Michael Cimino's Heaven's Gate (1980) because that one has a lot of behind the scenes drama that left some people physically hurt and a bunch of dead horses and cattle.

What killed them?
@GojiraRising2 жыл бұрын
@@keldorthebluemack if remember correctly some of the cows were killed for some scenes when they had extras pretending to butcher dead livestock so they needed fresh cattle and the horses were hurt during stunts filming long battle scenes.

It's also reported that that movie led to the disclaimer 'no animals were harmed during filming' to start. The snob review was epic lyrics hilarious minus the topical nonsense.

Imagine investing 17 million, then having only 2 million back. Then claim you protect animals and becomes an activist. 😂
