@jonathanakerele80067 жыл бұрын
You got THAT right! The high pitched laugh makes me think of Mariah Carey and Alicia Keys how their singing voices are much higher than their regular speaking voices and that's kind of like Martin. His laugh is much higher than his regular speaking voice to the point that he sounds like he inhaled a bunch of helium (a.k.a. sniffed a bunch of balloons) before going onto the set of Double Toasted. At this point Korey ought to make a small windup doll in Martin's image that just LAUGHS when you pull the chord in the back (like the old bedtime windup dolls from way back in the 1950's and before that). That would be hilarious if they did that and then brought it onto the set with them and pulled the chord so we could hear Martin laughing at the doll of himself as it laughs or says some of Martin's famous movie review phrases. Even better would be if the name of the doll were Leon (taking on his alias from the Spill days). Too crazy! =)

As twists go, I really didn't see the twist in this movie coming at all. If anyone says they saw it coming, I'd love to hear how they "figured it out". The movie's so busy giving you, possible supernatural, thriller, psycho-horror elements and actually gets you feeling for Brahms that the twist catches you off guard. For a January Release, this is definitely not the worst.
@mufasa377 жыл бұрын
Jman92854 I saw the twist coming as soon as I saw the trailer. Only two ways a doll horror movie turns out. Either it is really possessed by an evil spirit or somebody is physically moving it around & messing with ppl.

### Goes without saying, if you haven't seen it, don't read this## A lot of people who are confused about the ending seem to think that Brahms' parents knew and went along with everything, and they don't get why they would do it in such a convoluted way. But that's not what was going on. His parents had no clue either. They lived for decades, practically tortured by the responsibility for what they thought was their son's spirit in the doll. They had no idea, what was really going on all these years. Which is what drove them to this point of no return at the end.
@aiberlane33905 жыл бұрын
Hopefully the ending explains why the family is locked in the Victorian era. Because being British certainly isn't an excuse.

The film really surprised me. After hearing that The Forest was supposedly a better than average horror film (by many people), I went into that one with higher expectations and found it really bad. Then when people said the same for The Boy, I didn't let my expectations go too high and found this one a lot better than your average January horror film. I really appreciated the lengths the movie went in really making you feel the same as the main character. The twist didn't even ruin it for me, because things still made sense to me even with the twist. I gave it 3 1/2 out of 5.

I really did enjoy this movie and Greata Evans played by my girl Lauren Cohan she did a great job as the main character in this movie and she was awesome for this role and she was so incredibly sexy as hell bro and she is so gorgeous too and I’m a huge fan of her too since the walking dead show and she is a very good actress too and I loved her to death man and Malcom played by Rupert Evans he did a great job as the side character in this movie and he was awesome for this role and he did a very good job as this character too and Cole played by Ben Robson he did a good job but he was barley in this movie though but he still did a great job when he was on screen though and he did a very good job as the douchbag asshole character in this film and finally Braham played by James Russell he did a great job as the main villain in this movie and he was awesome for this role and he was very creepy as this doll too and he was a very interesting villain in this movie too and I do like the twist at the end and I was very surprised to see that twisted coming but that’s just me though and can’t believe it’s been 8 years now since this movie came out and it’s almost the 10th Anniversary when this movie was released in theaters back then and that’s insane it’s been that long ago now and time sure does flies in the movie world that’s for damn sure Korey bro and overall I’m gonna give The Boy (2016) a 7/10 stars I really did enjoyed this movie for what it was but could of been little bit better if it had some sexual nudity for a change and have the movie be little bit longer too and didn’t not like the ending that much but that’s just me tho Korey in my opinions and thoughts on this film Double Toasted bro
