Love the color with GHW and i do prefer the retourne. I feel like it's harder to do a 'casual' look with the sellier; it demands a more formal outfit IMO, but the retourne you can do either/all, in other words, more flexible for outfits.

Congrats 🎉🍾. Pretty blue color. The price for the Kelly retourne seems to be a lot cheaper in France than in US. In US I believe it’s currently priced @ $10.2k. I would buy it for $8k in a heart beat. When I bought the mini Lindy touch recently that was over $10k. But, it’s so darned cute and super versatile. I love it!! My dream bag would either be K25 and the mini Kelly 2 in lizard skin. Hoping to score either one this year. My SA said K25 is promising but the mini is very difficult to come by though :(. Thank you for all your tips. Too bad I’m not going to Paris anytime soon. Love Paris.

This video is really informative ! To talk about the way you should be dressed or not, I think definitely choose an outfit you feel comfortable in, not very very casual like track pants of course 😂 but a nice outfit that shows your personal style and tastes. I think it helps if you wear a bit of Hermès too. However, I do think it’s all about the rapport you build with the SA you meet. I’m pretty sure that sales advisors prefer a client with not that much of Hermès on him (or impressive purchase history) but, like you, very polite, smiley with knowledges ; than a client wearing Hermès head to toe having a haughty or not particularly pleasant behavior ! So nice you showed the experience ☺️

It's Evercolor leather! Very similar to Togo but with a smaller grain (it almost looks like Swift from afar but it's more robust and holds it's shape similar to Togo, it's not delicate) and it doesn't have veining the way Togo often does

Congratulations! I love the shade of blue you got! I have a question for you though: how many attempts has it taken to get your Birkin and Kelly bags altogether? I’m debating starting my Hermes journey and I’m nervous to get started!

I have a very long answer haha. In Paris, this was my 2nd appointment (my 1st one was last year in the fall and they said no bags were available at that appointment which was disappointing). The only thing I ever purchased in France was a twilly (€160) and it wasn't even in Paris, it was in another city Lyon. So technically you don't need any purchase history or to buy other items to be offered a Birkin or Kelly. When I came back to Paris this time, I applied online for an appointment my first day, I didn't get chosen (it's through a lottery system so thousands apply daily and only a few are chosen for each of the 3 Paris stores each day) and on my 2nd day of applying, I received a confirmation email saying I had received an appointment for the next day (my 3rd day in Paris). However, with that said, on my first trip last year I was determined to get a Birkin or Kelly and I tried almost every day to get one (and I never got one) and I tried to get an appointment daily, going in often to see if there was cancellations etc. So it was very very difficult on that first trip and it didn't even have a end result of me getting a bag on that trip. The first trip and all those attempts made last year had no affect on this next trip when I eventually received this Kelly as the SA and Hermes had no idea of my experience on my first trip. At the Hermes in the city I live in, it took me about 4 years until I was offered my first Birkin. However I only made purchases the first year and after that I had given up. 4 years in I went back and asked again and then a few months later I was offered the Birkin. When I was 12, my mom took me to LV on Bloor Street in Toronto. I bought a fake LV and *unidups* wore it on my arm and thought I looked cute. The cute salespeople let me try on a bag and a pair of heels because they knew we weren't rich and couldn't afford anything. It was really nice. No one seemed to care that I had a fake bag and I felt special. They even gave me a paper shopping bag that I used as a lunch bag for weeks afterwards! :) Who cares if people have real bags? I'm 30 now and ironically, even though I can afford them, I still prefer a real person with a fake bag to a fake person with a real bag. Just saying :) (Not that everyone with a real bag is a bad person or vice versa.) It just means I don't care if people have fake bags.
