Great example of their wonderful friendship, when the other band members seemed happy about Peter Buck recently being a father with twins, and how Peter feels all the other band members are uncles.

I actually taped this on vhs from TV by mistake when it first aired. It was on after another program I was taping. Needless to say, I watched this far more often than the other program. Thanks for uploading. It's been years since I've seen it.

In the 80's R.E.M. was a great underground band, influencing a lot of what came down the pike in the 90's labeled as alternative, today their all but forgotten (almost), nice to see that they had commercial success and got out of the the dying bones of the music industry when they did... it was an awesome time in music. Thanks R.E.M.

Im so tired of hearing that Monster is one of the worst albums ever. Each album is its own entity. So many people were pissed because it didn't have 3 versions of Losing My Religion on it...know what I mean? Bands need to grow in order to make good and consistent music. The sooner people start getting that the better. Try and write 30 years of hits...not f*ckin easy.

@@ΑΝΤΩΝΙΟΣΚΟΝΤΑΚΗΣ : I like PB's guitar style a lot, I learned to play guitar (sort of) by playing a lot of rem songs. So my original comment was not disparaging, the guy is a guitar hero. He ain't Hendrix or EVH but there's all kinds of styles of music and styles of playing. PB rocks.!!

I definitely remember when I first saw this, there was a bit where they were filming segments for the TV show they appear on (sorry, don't know the name of the show, it's american, I'm british) with Sarah Jessica Parker. It was corny ads, like.... SJP - Ow. Stipe - Did you hurt your arm? SJP - Everybody hurts, Michael. Stuff like that.

My darkest years were marked with REM songs. They pulled me through some emotional shit in college. But as I grew and discovered their push towards the socialist agenda, I began to lose interest. I look back fondly on the music, yet hate their politics.
@theflashman77689 жыл бұрын
Agreed. Same reason I trashed my old BonJovi and Bruce Springsteen albums. You want to vote for and sing songs to raise money for socialists and communists who will destroy my freedom. FUCK YOU! Rem can suck me.
