for the Leno story, another podcast talked with Seinfeld about this and Seinfeld said that is Jay. He said he (Jerry) does the same if he isnt traveling with his wife, staying in normal hotels. He said he got in at 1am that night from something else, didnt have a rental and asked for lunch. Even better, is 2 old ladies saw him fall and thought he looked like Leno but didnt believe it was him, until they walked up to see he is ok. After they checked him out, he asked them to run him to a different place to get a chicken parm sandwich instead of having to sit in a bar with people watching the game. And then at the place getting the Sandwich, the staff said he was bleeding and he walked to CVS to get a eye patch....
@andrewbaskett8581Күн бұрын
and the best part of this story, is that Leno is wearing the same suit and shirt he was wearing in that viral video of him after the accident wearing the eye patch...

I'm being honest here - if you guys just joined together and did a podcast together, you'd be #1 or #2 in the whole automotive space. These ALREADY do insane numbers, and is everyone's favorite for the whole year. Whatever the x factor it is to energy levels and talking about shit, you guys have it in spades. The chemistry is there. It's absolutely off the fucking rails for the entire 3 hours.

Not sure if this is the case for other people but as ive gotten older what i consider a dream/ aspirational car has changed. As ive gotten older ive realised that a £200k plus car is beyind aspirational for me. So my interest has moved to cheaper and used cars.
@coolmanfoo2407Күн бұрын
Absolutely. At the beginning of 2024 I was focusing on purchasing a Lotus Emira. I deemed that too expensive. Then I moved onto a CT-4 Blackwing (Which to be honest I cant get out of my head) and while half the price of the lotus I also ended up deeming that "too expensive". So what am I on now? A stock NB miata lmao. theres something about an 8k sports car that I can beat up and not care that makes it SO appealing.

Yes I think even Mr Ticket only goes so far given they are videoing it and if they mess up and hit someone the lawyer would lean on their history of treating Angela's forest like their own race track. Did they get permits etc and nothing makes a judge angrier if you think you are above the law.

Though all auto maniacs appreciate your commentary and insight into cars and car culture is fantastic. But that is what I heard during the most recent podcast with Doug. Regardless I and many others appreciate your love for automobiles and your transparency in reviews. Thank you and have a nice day.
