Not the easiest of puzzles for me so I was happy to save par. STARE, DOILY, and GAMED led me to try KNEAD on my fourth guess, not necessarily thinking it had to be the answer. Was pleased that it was.

This puzzle really did puzzle me! I was stuck on the last word for about 5 minutes and I don’t know why STARE AMBER (A and E intel) CEDAR (I was stuck triple R is not great but IDK just….. IDK) PLEAD AVOID (letter intel) KNEAD :)

Well done, Doug. After my starting words I came up with a few words that were “ed” past tense. Famed and named could be adjectives. I also thought of “naked” and “knead”. Went with “knead”. stArE- Doily- KNEAD

I blame Doug for my wordle struggle today! I took HOLEY as my starting word from his exclamation Hol(e)y Moley yesterday. My progression to the last chance hotel was poor via SEIZE, TAUPE, DREAM, ADEAD (after trying abead which was not in word list) then finally KNEAD. Such a relief as I was well and truly foxed by this one!
