Cool looking set up. Love Doug, the Lodge, and everything he's done for poker. Wish the whole country could follow their model and not kill all the games.

Doug should 100% be playing cards at his own club. That's like asking an owner of any business not to patron their own business--its ludicrous. Think of it like this, players: You're Ash Ketchum on a mission to catch em all and The Lodge has a gym badge up for grabs and the final boss gym leader is Doug Polk! It's an honor to play with legends whether they crush you or not
@sneakkyz3696Ай бұрын

Spoiler ahead: Very generous from TM to chop it up even. I think he would've beaten Austin 4 out of 5 times with equal stacks. He played the short-handed phase way cleaner and made some great moves. So Austin can be grateful, that TM is such a chill dude!

Curious why you don't have a shuffle machine in the table?
@timothykyllonenАй бұрын
They can be manipulated, also in Texas card rooms are in a grey area. 1 less thing to give them a reason to
@Marcus-yg2wsАй бұрын
All tournaments are hand shuffled ,
@eldridge201Ай бұрын
This is obviously speculative but from my experience in various casinos, those shuffling machines are extremely expensive to buy but you can lease them obviously which I think the majority of casinos do however, I think the lease is pretty high and the maintenance can be expensive as well. I understand the majority of casinos use them so the cost must be worth it for a lot of the casinos considering how many of them that they have however, I would venture to Guess that for this smaller casino, they just decided it's not worth it in the end. Also, although this is obviously an opinion and arguable, I think a lot of people prefer hand shuffling over the machines. I'm sure that could go either way but most people that I've interacted with over the roughly 15 or 16 years I've been playing have typically preferred and shuffling. Also, the reality is, it doesn't save that much time really in the grand scheme of things. If you sit down and figure out how long it takes to shuffle a hand, it usually takes about 10 or 15 seconds or maybe 20 at the most. A shuffler is only going to save about 10 seconds maybe. If you consider all the other things that you can waste time on between hands such as talking or trying to get things figured out with chip counts and other things, it's really not that big of a deal. Also, if the shuffler goes down, it's just another thing that you have to keep worrying about. Just more hassle than it's worth in my opinion. This is just my opinion but I don't think it's really worth it overall considering it's only a very very small small amount of time that you will save in between hands and it's not really worth being a variable to be honest. Pretty negligible in my opinion but again, this is just my opinion.

Love TM from the second I saw him play at the beginning. His a nice humble guy with no hierarchy and intimidation and holy and GOD is leading him the way. Never underestimate a guy because of his chips, since his soul might be gold and gold is always precious and something of value regardless. Good Dude. Doug feels like his special lol and EGO always loses. Spirit wins. TM proved that by pushing Doug to exit.
